I have read some books by Thich Nhat Hanh. Egle, you should try his books. He is a wonderful teacher and writer. I was going through a difficult time when I started his first book. It really helped me a lot. It changed my perspective, helped me see things more objectively and appreciate the little things in life.

Free_willy, one of my favorite things in his book is when he talks about the nature of water and how we are all simply in the process of transformation at all times. Water from your cup of tea evaporates and in the atmosphere transforms into a cloud which then rains and in some places freezes to ice/snow, which melts and goes to a river or the sea and evaporates again, starting the cycle all over again.

Through all these transformations, water does not lose its original quality, always remaining what it is, WATER, no matter what form or shape it takes.

That thought has all my heart! ❤️ Am I a nerd??

I have actually had someone share this with me before. It's stuck with me for a long time but I'd forgotten where it was from!

It is by far the most effective way to describe the nature of our lives (souls). Constantly changing, constantly evolving, ever moving, and finally coming back to a restful state where we once started from.

Ok, so Art of Living, and Bhagavad Gita.

My to-read list just got longer and I'm not complaining.

That is wonderful quote, thanks for sharing 🙂🤗 I don't remember reading this analogy. I have read two of his books: "Buddha mind, Buddha body" and "Old path white clouds." I love how he connects everything in nature and practice gratitude. And we all are indeed connected but sometimes we are so caught up in life that we forgets to appreciate the tiny wonders of life...

Now about the chapter...

This chapter was so well crafted, and I loved how beautifully you reflected the thoughts and emotions of all the characters. Malini's inner convo was also very well done.

That scene between Aryan, Imlie, and Neel, has my heart ❤️. Children are so innocent, sensitive and pure hearted. I hadn't thought how I would deal with a child under similar circumstances. What you showed seems like the right thing to do. We should always be honest with children. Sometimes they ask difficult question. But we should understand that they look up to us and there question comes from genuine curiosity about life, so it's best to answer them honestly.

This chapter was heartbreaking and just made you think of life of how you yourself are living to this day😭

You have out shone yourself because the words were so hard to read and to take in when it is about someone close to you especially when it is about a child who has the whole of his life ahead of him.

Your writing and story telling is absolutely adorable and I take my 🎩 off to you and please take a 🙇‍♀️ because stories that touch your heart needs to have a reply.

I have recently became a fan of Aryan and Imlie and has a couple there are perfect.

The song is one that is pulling your heart strings and making you 😭

Please continue

So true, we take so much in life for granted, na? I am so glad you liked it and thank you so much for your lovely words about the writing. My heart breaks for Neel, but he is one of the luckier ones. He will have a loving family that will rally around him. And, he will have memories of Malini. They won't let him forget. 🤗

Awww me too! I used to love writing letters and postcards back when there was no internet or cell phones. I was the scribe in the house so I could practice my handwriting. I don’t know if they still have them but you used to get these blank blue letters from the post office and you’d write letters on those. I wrote so many letters back then and through college. Sending a letter and then waiting on tenterhooks to get a reply, waiting when the postman in his khaki uniform and small satchel will walk to your door and deliver mail!…….no one will know that feeling anymore in this age of instant gratification.
