Which school allows Bindi on school students? Our school didn't allow Bindi, nailpolish and makeup. Girls were mandated to make two pony tails. Boys weren't allowed to grow long hairs.

Our nails were checked every fcking day and were made to cut in school long nails and repeated offences were fined.

And this nonsense is why I say college and schools only teach student how to follow instructions like a sheep. How many % of student are not forced and follow it by choice?

Nobody has the right to dissect any religion and say why a religion allows or doesn't allow something. That's ridiculous. Why can't Hindus eat beef, why can't Muslims eat pork, why do Sikhs wear turbans, why do Muslims girls wear hijab, why do Muslims and Christians do circumcision, why do Jewish men wear yamakkas? None of this is up for debate and frankly you can have opinions about a religion and their practice, but you cannot shove that opinion on anyone.

If a Muslim girl wears a hijab, that's her religion and her right to practice her religion without restrictions. It's what makes a secular and democratic country. By you going in and taking that right away from her based on YOUR opinion, you are doing the opposite. If it's not hurting anyone else, stay out of people's business.

You're not different than right wing Americans that banned abortion. They also felt strongly about it and debated about the principle. Yet they completely took a woman's right regarding her body away from her.

Where was all these pro religious when Sabrimala Temple issue happened? Why was practices of thst temple dissected and wokes and leftists intervened and were lauded..

Who is taking away rights of Muslim Girl? Why is religion above education? The rules are simple here girls are allowed to wear hijab infact burqa but outside school premises that's it.

The question here is why can't a girl wear hijaab but a sardar is allowed to wear his head covering....let us forget about why hijaab is or is not right.....but if one religion is being given the freedom to wear a head cover...why not the other one...

Just to make it clear I am not saying burqa or naqaab should be allowed just because of security reasons...

You are talking about 10% or even 5% of the people who are privileged enough to have this choice.

For other majority, its not a choice. Its a compulsion. Mainly due to religious and family pressure. Even if they don't want to, they Have to wear it.

As someone kindly educated me here, veil is mandatory in Islam. Those who are privileged enough, choose to follow this or not. No one will come behind them, since they have power and protection.

But, most people are not that privileged to have they choice or voice.

I see this mindset a lot. Because group A was mistreated, in retaliation let's mistreat group B. Is that really your argument?

If wishes were horses...I would make every woman free....like do whatever they want....but that is for another debate....You tell me why can one religion have their head covering allowed in school and the other one cannot?? its simple..
