Until today, I had four fan fictions, two with zero followers and two with one follower each. Suddenly my fan fictions have 8, 19, 29, and 43 followers, and I never got any notifications.

I think it must be a glitch because some of these followers haven't visited India Forums in over a week. I suspect that everyone who ever gave a reaction on a story in the show's forum, before I migrated it to the Fan Fiction section, has suddenly been turned into a follower of that story.

My fan fiction Library was empty until today, but suddenly it includes my own two fan fictions where I replied to a comment, and another author's fan fiction where I wrote a comment. That author blocked me for pointing out that she used an expression that is a racial slur, so I would never intentionally follow her. Other fan fictions on which I wrote comments haven't been added to my library.

On January 30, I got a notification that vijay left a Like on my chapter. When I checked, that chapter suddenly had 18 more Likes than before (5 NICE and 13 more AWESOME!), but I only got one notification about vijay. I sent a PM to vijay mentioning this right away, but it looks like he never opened it. Neither vijay nor the contest judge who stopped by to give a FAIL on that chapter has been turned into a follower. I also didn't get a notification when someone gave a FAIL on my prompt acknowledgement for the story.

@BrhannadaArmour, It is not a glitch. Recently IF team improvised the FF section and added followers from the forum posts from where you shifted your FF/OS to the new FF section.

Thanks for the explanation. (I think you meant to write "improved," because the word "improvised" means "created without planning.") While I wait for help, I'll just add two points.

1. The newly added followers don't appear on my FF Followers page, which only has three names. I got notifications when two of these people chose to follow my fan fictions. The third person gave a FAIL on two of my stories, so I don't think she would follow me intentionally.

2. How can I stop following someone? I don't want to get notifications whenever someone who blocked me writes something. And if I don't see in my Library that I've been added as someone's follower, how will I even know why I'm getting unwanted notifications?

Sorry if my question is dumb. I don't use most of the site's features (Friends, Block, Scrapbook, Slambook, Testimonials) because I have no idea what they're for. I tried asking in the Help section, but never got an answer. I don't want to get into a feud with anybody, so I generally don't respond when someone gives a sarcastic HAHA reaction on my post or a FAIL on my chapter. Now, if everyone who does that turns into my follower, and there's no way to stop following me, will they think that everything I write is an invitation to attack me?

What's your point in tagging me as a 'third person'?

Firstly, I read your Tale of two... story because it was based on the Santa Prompts by the FF team and I am a part of it. I corrected you because you are openly insulting and incorrectly using an art I am proud of. I have a successful career running because of it.

And for that Mandar and Farhad story, I had no interest in reading it. You, yourself asked for my honest review and you got it. So there is no point dragging me like this in whatever post you are making here.

I didn't tag you or invite/drag you here; I merely identified you so that the admin would know who (I think) doesn't want to be my follower.

This isn't the right thread to talk about fan fiction content, but since you are offended, I will try to pacify you. Whatever reaction you want to give on my stories is fine and welcome. I accept that when I share on India Forums, I may get all kinds of comments, including outrage and the FAIL. Thanks for taking the time.

I have explained to you repeatedly that the name Bhāṅgasvari in my story is from Mahābhārata and nothing in my story connects it to your study of music. I even edited my story at your request so that no one should get that mistaken impression. If you still feel insulted, and you refuse to believe that I respect your art in spite of my saying so over and over, that is your choice. And I choose to get over it.

It’s absurd when someone blocks you, which means that they don’t want to interact with you anymore, and yet, they continue doing so by reacting, quoting and stalking your posts 🤷‍♀️ I have had pretty unpleasant experiences due to this.

I don’t understand the point of a one way block. If the blocked person gets harassed by someone who blocked them, they can’t even block them back!

This update is long pending 🙏 In the age of Internet trolling and bullying, please allow us to shut out toxic people and enjoy the site in peace.

I understand a forum like this requiring advertisements to sustain in this business but please tell me what on earth is this? Why have you started using obstructive ads that too of your own site in between posts? It's so irritating while scrolling through a topic abd getting such obstructive ads- I come to read movie related discussion and posts here, what the hell am I supposed to do with the knowledge of someone's first audition and first crush whom I don't even know of?????

It looks like with time there are more ads than posts! I mean four ads in one page? Ridiculous!!

Hello this is an urgent appeal to Vijay and site admins, why are all self banned accounts suddenly showing as unbanned? We can read all the posts of these banned accounts. Is this a bug? There was a reason why many of us took self bans due to posting of critical private information about ourselves back then because of which many of us have had to face social media harassment with leakage of private info amongst other things. And we can't even login to our old accounts and old forums are locked so can't even edit them out. Requesting the admins to please reconsider this and let the banned accounts stay hidden like it was before.

I am not really sure if I am right here, but I think there was a time that pages that had posts containing the tags "Members only" and "No Copy" couldn't even be screenshot-ed. Maybe I am wrong, but if I am right, can we get that back?
