what i am trying to gauge is, if this model is profitable ITV should try that atleast as a pilot. Lets say weekend episodic shows

Dhadkan is already following this model. I am waiting for Fanaa's first episode to know whether it is following too or not because actors keep saying we shot this we shot that and never say we are shooting. I doubt Fanaa is also finite series like Dhadkan kyunki Dhadkan ko sabne infinite socha thaa but after first episode went on air we came to know its finite. Toh shayad sabhi channels ne asian dramas model follow karna already start kardiya hai maybe. 🙄

But we dont have international market naa.... Imean foreigners are not inclined towards indian shows as they still looks down to itv shows as they are stupid but thats not case with korean or east asian dramas

Had any infian web series made in top 10 of netflix list around globe ?? No .... Thats why no one is willing to take risk

Only revenues from indian OTT markets are not enough.... If your show gets global success only then it have point to follow east asian formulae otherwise they will only make losses nthing else

East asian shows covers their revenues through diff outless as their is audience for their shows globally but indian shows dont have that kind of audience

i have seen indian shows popular in turkey and few asian countries atleast . western market tho kachra hi samjega

Dhadkan's OTT platform is Sony network which is international brand. So after its completion it will be available worldwide whether its youtube or any other app. Wahi se revenues collect hojaayenge. Maybe they are planning to sell its digital rights to worldwide. Producer already said there main motive was to bring it as a tv series and then make it available worldwide everywhere after its completion.

Pakistani shows follows 25-40 epi finite format.... Unka saara revenue tv se hi milta hai ya phir youtube ke views se (i think woh feroze khan ka last show khuda mohabbat was first pak show to cross 1 bn views collectively)

Pak audience ko pahle se hi uss type ke shows dekhne ki wajah se adat lagg gayi uss format ki nd pahle jab udhar itv shows thy tab they used to chose those ekta shows over their finites but jab se pak me itv shows ban huye hai tab se unke shows ne tremendous growth ki hai in terms of trps

So agr finites work karwana hai toh jaise pak govt me ne ITV shows ban kiye wause hi idhar bhi eksaath yeh infinite shows hatake finite format laana chahiye otherwise koi finites nhi dekhega .... They will always chose infinites over fintes

And agar ek bhi channel infinites regressive laayega toh audience udhar hi chala jaayega

But our country is so diverse so yeh sab cheeze ek saath control karna is not possible

Pak me pissible hai bcz woh ek small country hai plus woh humare jitni diverse nhi hai naa hi udhar diff regional industries hai nd naa hi diff languages.... Mostly sab urdu hi bolte hai so udhar ek hi tv industry hai

But idhar 10 type ki diff tv industries nd usme har ek language ke 100 channels so sabko regulate karna possible nhi

Sehar se poocho woh turkey se hai nd woh khud batayi hai yeh shows aunties me popular thy

Acche shows finite quantity mein banenge hi nahi toh western market ki bhi kya galti. Ek ya do se kaam nahi chalega we need huge number of finite shows jo ITV shows keliye at this point impossible hai. 😒
