Even though the makers have not really given anything to explain, I think Suman hates Raavi only because she is Maami's beti. Rishita's family may also give trouble to them but because of Maami, she has lost her husband. And that animosity is still buried deep within her. When Shiva got slapped by Raavi and when she felt that her son is getting insecured by her, she also snapped. From what I can see is her hatred for maami exceeds for Suman to see Raavi as a human being.😕
