I have seen this before.

But I think it’s problem with the audience and general public. Not the industry, because they are just doing business and giving people what they want. You can’t blame them if a dark skinned actress isn’t found appealing by people and they don’t pull crowds. These kind of movies are catered to a particular kind of audience. If people don’t get attracted by these type of standards, it will stop automatically.

I would honestly love a north eastern actress in mainstream BW roles.

I think in Marathi movies it’s still easy to find good actors who are not that attractive conventionally and still do well. Because that’s the kind of audience they crave.
