Yeah I haven't got any indication that akshu is manish's fave. Where, and how? I haven't seen him once even talk to akshu about the whole abhi incident to find out how she feels or if she does have any feelings for abhi. He has done nothing to show he thinks of akshu.

Aarohi keeps saying Akhsu is his laadli. And apparently when they were teenagers Manish showed xlear favoritism, I guess.

and blurts out all rubbish to akshu...pehle kaha ghar se kao...ab kaha its complicated...off course its complicayed..when abhi and akshu love each other and arohi wants abhi and ghar parivaar are okay with it...it is complicated!!

reading this Kairav does seem like an a**h*** of a brother to Akshara
