I read some comments on some fan pages on IG and so I went looking for the source video. On 14 Jan Anam Sheikh (Viraltelevision YT channel) had a live interview with Raj Surani. In that, Raj Surani has indicated that while Pawandeep is going to continue working in the series they have planned, Arunita is not going to sing any further song, as things stand now.

Oh ok. Anyway HR releases songs in a week or two so we will come to know. But I feel there is high probability of being true as HR really likes both of them. So won't be surprised if he releases back to back songs with them.

Was listening to this once again, this time at normal speed. He says there is now no contact with Arunita. While I had anticipated that if she reneges from the video contract then it frees up the other party from the songs contract too (also mentioned at that time), I am saddened that they could not arrive at a compromise where at least the singing can continue. Building a body of work and getting something that allows one to continue to be in Mumbai is important at this stage.
I hope and wish that she soon gets her breaks elsewhere. She is just too gifted to be restricted to concerts and HR songs.

You may have read my earlier mentions that I believe the only way to sustainable long term success is solo careers, so it is not as though I am overly keen on "Arudeep" pair being in the limelight. Would it make me happy if they indeed end up as a pair in their real lives - sure it would because they are both amongst my favourites now. But is that the only thing I am interested in - definitely not.
