Pathan should be a success. Deepika, Shahrukh and Deepika, John look good together.

He needs to sleep more , read he only sleeps for 3-4 hours a day.

With the kind of negative attention movies get these days, wont a movie named "pathan" be really susceptible to it? But i genuinely hope this movie works for srk 's sake, and that kween dp doesnt ruin sharara remake completely

This movie is literally make or break for SRK...

I miss SRK of 90s.

K Jo and Farah are the worst things to have happened to him.

He should have chosen better films and worked with better filmmakers rather than sticking to same old set of friends.

These films for friends are reason why many actors in past also had downfall.

Farah had a big hand in ruining SRK's career but I wouldn't say the same for KJo tbh, like some of SRK's biggest hits were his movies.

But that said, I agree completely that he would have been in a very different place today if he chose better films instead of stuff like Fan and Zero (I honestly can't figure out what he was thinking when he said yes to those ).

I guess trends in cinema changed- by the 2010s many people kinda lost interest in those typical kind of filmy romcoms/family dramas due to an overload of them in the past couple of decades. Sadly for SRK those were his main strength, and I guess he was just unable (or unwilling?) to adapt to this major shift in the public's taste.

K Jo and Farah bitched about other stars, films, filmmakers. K Jo is responsible for lot of controversial acts and interviews at award shows and talk shows. SRK only earned flak going along in those bitch fests.

Farah has ruined his career. MHN, OSO maybe hits but they are not good films.

Farah has been using his stardom to peddle her own boat.

Her films are proper trash.

Karan may have given him hits but KANK was fairly faltu as a film. These banners have major hand in typecasting SRK as just a romantic hero. They never even gave him opportunity like YRF gave him in CDI. KANK dented SRK's image in Indian audiences as the film has no solid justification for spouses cheating on their respective partners. Even Rani, Preity, Amitabh and Abhishek got lot of flak for that film. Audience felt the film was promoting adultery and leaving spouse and kids for no major reason.

Karan is such a weirdo that he even markered MNIK on basis of return of SRK-Kajol jodi instead of its subject and audience got disappointed when film did not turn out to be just a usual love story they expected.

Trends had begun to change from 2006 itself when films like RDB, Omkara became successful.

It did not change only in 2010s. The rise of daily soaps copying same old romantic scenes, family dramas and recreating DDLJ, HAHK, KKHH, K3G, Pardes onscreen led to audience getting fed up of overdose of such romances and family dramas in films. Half the serials we see on TV since 2001 are copies of 80s and 90s family dramas and romances. Almost every TV actor copied SRK in romantic scenes after 2000. Why would audience not get fed up seeing same things again and again?

I do think SRK is probably unwilling to try anything else or change his image or maybe it is filmmakers who are unwilling to give him anything else and want to cash his romantic image. I feel it is the latter because Raees and Don 2 were not romantic films but promos focused more on SRK's scenes and songs with his heroines rather than actual subject of film. Raees is the most misleading marketing ever. The film is not SRK and Mahira's love story but it was promoted solely on basis of romantic songs.

Whatever film he does, it still gets marketed on basis of songs and scenes with his heroines.

I was surprised he learnt nothing from success of CDI. Films like those are better bets than romance. He learnt nothing from failures of past romantic stars either who became laughing stock after a certain age.

If he again does a so called love story or film is marketed on basis of romantic scenes with heroines then it is tougher for him ahead.

What in the freaking world happened to him. He should get some people to make him look better in pictures.
