That's insane, that's a lot of interest. Though, even 210 cr is over the top. It's a sports drama, not a cgi fantasy, ffs. Who thought that a movie like this would require so much money? Haven't these people learned at all that keeping the budget as low as possible is like the first major check mark to making profits and ensuring a hit? What did they spend all that money on?

Their financial people are a bunch of imbeciles.

The movie was more of 1983 world cup highlights than a movie.

Showing every India's game like star sports live feature.

There was no big factor showing India as a underdog.

Not much emotional quotient required in the screenplay related with the game which could prove India as underdog. Indian won first match against WIs who were reigning champion. Then another match.

So where is like underdog kind of story ?

I just sleep walked the movie like some sports highlight.

Most people were praising Ranveer like how immaculately he portrayed Kapil Dev, be his accent, mannerism but I always found actor Ranveer Singh dominating character Kapil Dev in the movie.

Cricket movie generally works in India, like Dhoni, but this was more of sports documentary without any engaging story line. On top of that why was that 'Maal' wali Deepika in the movie, I don't get it. She doesn't lend anything to the story line or the progression of the movie.
