I think she’s also under a lot of stress bc of Adi’s constant tearing of her spirit, the AdiNi hot mess, AC and the mere fact that every single person in that place is judging her except for Aryan. The people whom she thinks love her beyond a doubt (& they do love her but with conditions) are the same people she doesn’t want to hurt with an MU. Imlie is also highly aware that the blame is always on her shoulders. Radha represents that part of society: “Imlie should know better”, “Imlie should wear clothes that won’t tear with a sharp object” 🤪

while she knows Aru wouldn’t hurt her or take advantage of her - she also doesn’t want to be put in a situation she has no emotional or spiritual energy to explain

Hopefully in the future Imlie can also learn not to give 2 sh*t’s about what people say

Exactly, this is often forgotten when he's compared to oh-so-sweet-and-loving Aditya. Despite the blurring of many boundaries between them (partly because of Aditya's constant verbal abuse), he's not her suitor yet. And even a suitor doesn't have the right to make cross unspoken boundaries. So, she trusted him enough to actually listen to his explanation.

She’s got a ton of emotions that’s she’s trying to control add to it another one, like she doesn’t want to be dancing, she doesn’t want to be dancing in this situation with Aryan, but here she is. She did say, I never thought you would do this. He’s never crossed his limits in terms of physical space like this before, I can see why she’d be angry in the moment.

Also, loved the detail that they made sure to show that he was only holding her top closed, his hand barely touched her.

They didn't try to make it a sexy scene, thank God.

Editing to add that there's an undetected sexual tension between them which can be seen in the hair unbraiding scene today or even in the hand lock on mehndi, even in small moments like when he put the i-card around her neck. Don't know whether they showed any such mature sexual tension between Adilie. I always found it like a crush on a teacher/older man.
