todays epi was brilliant in terms of story for me....bcs I totally releate it with me.....
Deepika's story is almost mine, just the diff is I am almost 18 and she is 30+.
The show is set in Bihar as the backgrd, and its the harsh reality of TODAY.Yes,I am born in Gujarat but my native is Bihar so everyone in my family is born and raised in Bihar.
So guys do u remember Vik saying his father is judge, brother IAS but he didnt say anything abt his female family membrs....same is with my male family membrs IAS,lawyer,engineer,surgeon,proffesor....just as Vik family looks educated to the outer world but has retrogressive thinking...its the truth for many family in north.....Education degree can never determine ones perspective and looks can be deciving...
its so true males are mostly taught that they are the earning member that the final decision has to be theirs, whatever they decide is right, its what the betterment for everyone...typical V's character...
I girl is taught to say yes to her partner, uski pasand na pasand ka khayal sirf woh kyu rakhe? kyu sirf woh adjust kare?kyu sirf wo sacrifice kare?agar mard kare toh mehnat, sacrificing ha woh, tarif ke layak aur aurat kare toh uska faarz?....same shown btw D and V in flashback
Agar ladki ho tum, tumhe ham kaam karne de,toh sirf woh kaam karo jo hu jahe, jisme tum ghar ka sara kaam kar ke office ja sako aur aa kar baccho ko samal sako...9 to 5 job...aisa kaam jisme family priority ho....jaise V chaata tha D se
career wo chuno jo parents chate hai..jab tak unki pasand se chalte ho,tab tak tum acche agyakari ho warna beshram, nalayak ho tum...jaisa D ke papa ne use kha
kyu jab ek aurat aage badti hai toh dursi aurate saath toh jhodo, peeche khichti hai,kyu ek dusre ka saath nahi de sakte...jaise D ki mom,V ki behen aur mom
We are freaking living in 2021.And how can it been still so deep rooted?how do people still promote this kind of stuff and behaviour yaar?and its rooted so deep that to the ouside world they appear so progressive but their actual thinking hasnt changed!
I am sorry for all the writing but I literally had tears in my eyes watching the epi.....
Men like vik, D ka dad, takla , too sone extent abhay, they are so common around us. It's scary but truth. Every day misogyny is so common, we female are so used to it sometimes it just fly past us.
Did you notice how saxena ka mom in flashback said to his sis - acha hua tumhe nahi padhaya (something like that)
Vikrant- allow to kar rahe the na tumhe Kam karne k liye shadi k bad.
He wanted her to take a easy job for their life. As D said - humari life and decision apke.
D ka dad - bohut padhake bigar gyi ho tum. Ye shadi hogi. Kaise v hogi, samaj log kya kahenge. He never cared about her as a person. Parents at a time cares about their kids only till the kids are walking on the paths they showed. It's been 10 yrs and he's still waiting she will grovel at his feet and quit her job. He don't care she has achieved so much without any help from him. And maybe someday she will be so famous and this dad will come forward to take credit- do we really need to respect these people just because they are parents?
Takla - women are emotional. They can't take decision in EW. Did he not live in 2021, does he not see women making company from scratch and taking decisions all the time? They are breaking glass ceiling repeatedly, it's men like who don't give them a chance, always hindering their efforts. It's sad how he's a puppet for another woman and yet thinks women can't think cause periods. Wtf was that even.
PC looked like he was stopping himself to punch his face.
I don't think they were promoting it. They showed what we see everyday. And it's good, without sugar coating it. I wish they show the facts as they are, that men like D ka dad and saxena are trash. Even if they come back and apologies- which I doubt. It's in their DNA. Fitrat nahi badalti.
Saxena clearly not over how she rejected him. Did you notice, he was physically hurting her in her own house, yet her parents stood right outside and didn't intervene. He will take revenge piece by piece and show what a mistake she committed by not marrying him. Clearly, her being single and not in a position senior to him means he was right all those years ago, she couldn't find a man to fulfill her life.
The fact that a woman needs a man to be happy - this thought should die like now. Dreams matter. Ambition matter. There is a reason kids these days don't think about shadi bacha that much.
kya mast joke mara re baba.Zindagi bhar bhi dhoondhogi toh mere jaisa nahi milega -Vikrant 🤣
Aisa mard to dushman ko v na mile. Is he still married to his wife and treat her like trash?

I too cried after seeing today's episode because, it was not just a drama but harsh reality Jo hamesha ladkiyo pe thand me thande Paani ki tarah humare upar phek di jati hai , aur phir koi PC ya Sathe jesa nahi hota jisse hum iske baare me baat kar sake .
Specially wo dialogue "aap ne Hume kabhi izzat bhi toh nahi di " usne rula diya , Maine hamesha dekha hai apne aas paas ya toh ladki Ko rishte me beizzati aur kuch mitthi baate milti hai ya toh nahi beizzati aur nahi izzat , itne saal me shayad ek hi esa shaadi dekha hoga jisme ladki Ko dono mila ho .
Aur wo Permission wala dialogue bhi , kiu Leni padegi 'Permission' apna kaam continue karne ke liye shaadi ke Baad . Wo bhi unse jinko wo ladki janti hi kuch samay se hai , aur unke kahne kyu chhodegi uss sapne Ko joki saalo se ankho me kajal ki tarah pehnti aarahi hai wo .
ab decide karo jamnav ya prameshd
Meri taraf se toh Jamnav hai , main toh yehi bolungi🤣

I just loved what you wrote but this one just amazing.
Same here I also had tears while watching the episode.
Really felt bad for Deepika not a single person to support her not even her mother.
Harsh reality of our society. Now things have changed a bit but here we are talking about some 10 year back as per FB goes.
See her parents not changed even after 10 years still not forgiven her for choosing career over marriage.
