Dumb and Dumber Bollywood

Bollywood and its cine goers are unique and rare species in the world.

They praise hollywood movies, appreciate technically superior south movies like Bahubaali but when it comes to making one they resort to full on masala, nonsense craps like Radhe, yet the movie recovers its investment. Very rarely we get to see good movies like 'Chandigarh Kaare Aasiqui' but no one goes to theater to watch that. Why watch in theater when you can watch it later on OTT or watch the pirated copy online ?

They will throng to watch movies like Sooryavanshi with no concrete script or message, but will completely discard movies like 'Chandigarh Kaare Aasiqui'.

After recent debacles, Ayushman has chosen one of the best scripts with this movie. The movie is neither preachy nor OTT, it is well balanced fun entertainer with good message upon Transgender. But '2 rupees people' like KRK starts barking like dogs and label it as "Gandi" movie.

Then there is another group of so called critics who slams the movie left, right and center for few of hot scenes which BTW has been shot aesthetically and are much much milder then most of Emraan Hashmi movies.

The terrible box office collections on the first day clearly indicates the mentality of Hindi movie going audience. They never appreciate and promote good cinema, but starts praising Hollywood or Korean cinema. Will stand in queue for next Spider man or Marvel movie but will never care to appreciate something different being done in Hindi cinema. Then these are same people who are first to call out; There are no good hindi cinema writers...

Bhai... when those writers write movies like 'Chandigarh....' you don't watch it in theater and you talk about quality cinema and writers. How will good writers sustain in the industry when good products are being rejected while movies like Simba, Housefull are being appreciated ?

Bollywood is bound to be DUMB and DUMBER due to its audience NOT MAKERS. Its the audience who don't want to watch good cinema. All they do is talk about classic world cinema but at the end of the day go to watch nonsense masala movies.
