Everyone was interested in Sonam's wedding because while she may not be a superstar, she is a (sorry) fashion icon and any outfit she wears garners attention.

So her wedding outfits, decor and the presence of the entire industry dancing and singing was what made it fun

I think it’s less interest and more frustration. I couldn’t care less about her wedding but it pisses me off that there’s been no official announcement and has left me questioning whether the news is even true. Also, they went from never being seen together as a ‘real’ couple to suddenly getting married. I guess we all wanna see how they look as a couple since Katrina will probably even deny the relationship even after the marriage takes place. 😆🙂

when you entire khandaan is super famous, you will get this level of interest by default..had sonam been in katrina's shoes and an outsider, i doubt people would have cared much. Katrina has not one famous person in her family..so all the madness is for her and her only unlike sonam

Exactly. That family has a number of celebrities and was always going to generate interest.

Katrina's shaadi has been the news the day she appeared on Salman's side because everyone was interested in Salman's shaadi. so of course there will be so much hoopla but most of the hoopla is people making fun of salman with memes and I am surprised not that many rk memes. there must be some channa Mera memes out there but maybe they got used for deepika wedding.

and there hasn't been a celebrity event now for 2 years.

and she is a movie star so there will be hoopla and the more you make it secretive the more hoopla there will be. everyone wants what they can't have.
