Why open a new thread for every trivial topic?

- I'm sorry I did not know where to ask this question which is why I too had to open a separate topic thread on it.

- As the topic says it, why is everyone opening a separate thread on every trivial topic related to zmga they find on social media?

- I'm asking this because I frankly feel it is kind of messing things in the forum. I wanted to follow Avijay ff and when I came here I found things a bit messed up with too many threads opened for very trivial topics. Opening a new thread for topics such 100 episodes, new montage, background score is alright yet...

- For example why is there a need to open a new thread on every new "BTS update"? When there is a specific thread which is dedicated to the social media updates in the forum which is pinned to the forum wall?

People should make use of this thread and if they want specific people to discuss on the topic then they should tag those people instead of creating a new thread everytime.

- Same goes for the interviews of the lead actors. Why is a new thread opened everytime when one of the lead actors talk something in the interview. Can't they be simply shared in the thread dedicated for the discussion of the actors which are:

- Also so many threads on the precaps of the episodes too. Isn't the precaps also part of the episodes? Can't the thread for episode discussion used for that? If there is some big twist or some important topic related to certain episodes like "ott drama of the bulb" then it is understandable that a new thread is opened yet opening a thread and putting one tweet on it is so trivial and is messing the forum.

- Finally, the trps thread there are nearly 5-6 threads opened for the trps alone in this forum. I recently asked to pin one of the thread which will make it easier for everyone to discuss on trps. If there is an issue in pinning one more thread with existing so many pinned threads then I feel the threads:

- I wish and request the person who is in charge of the discussion threads to look into this issue and make necessary amends.

Maybe to increase forum activity as the place is basically dead

I don’t know if you have taken notice that this forum basically has only 3 or 4 members who are keeping it alive. Kudos to them to find ways to keep activity going. I feel mods must also post ways to attract more traffic. Maybe do a social media pitch. Maybe FF writers who are on SM can cross link? Few ideas.

Let’s find ways to increase traffic, this shows actors deserve it.

- I can understand what are the basic feelings of "fans", "fandoms" and "zmga fans/fandom association/family" to promote show, actors or whatever by "keeping activity alive" and I'm not against that.

- What I'm against is the "mess" which some of them are creating here not all.

- Is "Indiaforums" basically only meant for "promotions"?

- Well, I don't think so. As far as I know "Indiaforums" is meant for reading, writing, discussing on topics related to ITV shows.

- "Promotions" can be done but not "overdone" to create "mess".

- As you all should know everything has a limit, nothing should cross limits and be "overdone" because if it does then it will for sure create a "dirty mess"

- I also have a feeling that some people did not at all understand what I tried to explain in my first post in this topic. Alright, I will try to explain with my experience on handling the "mess" which should give a better understanding for people.

- The other day, I guess it was the day of trps, I came here to check zmga trps and follow Avijay's story.

- I follow Avijay's story because it inspires me a lot and helps me to build my own stories. Now when I had come here there were so many threads opened on very "trivial" topics and I found it quite very annoying to find out "Avijay's story" and "trps" thread.

- Nearly 2-3 threads were opened on "bts update" alone when there is a "separate pinned thread" for "social media updates".

- Next, for every new interview of "Esha and Hasan" there is a separate thread opened when there are threads specifically dedicated to them.

- Imo, if people don't want to use those threads then they can open a separate thread for "Hasan and Esha interviews alone" which will basically organize things and not really create a new thread everytime "Hasan and Esha" say something in an interview which sometimes may not be even related to the show.

- Lastly, atleast 4-5 threads are created on "precaps" alone when there is a "separate pinned thread" for "episode updates" and "precaps" are also part of the episodes.

- Frankly, going on and on creating new threads on very trivial topics is creating a "mess" and making it absolutely difficult for people who come here for "reading/writing" and not "promoting".

- It's understandable if new threads are created when someone wants to talk about "important twists" or "something big happening" in the show. It is also understandable if different threads are created for stories and videos from "different authors" which is why @Anindita has created an index for stories because again it is a question of "organization".

- Yet creating so many threads on "same topics" or "trivial topics" is just a way of "disorganizing" things more and more.

- And it does not "encourage" yet "discourage" those who come here only for reading because I know many who are silent readers but get annoyed seeing such mess. So in a way the activity is not increasing but decreasing.

- "Promoting" is not wrong but if people are doing it then they should also see to that they do it well within the limits.

- Frankly, it is the "duty" of the channel operators to see the "organization of the channel and stop all the creation of mess".

- I had asked the channel moderators for pinning one thread basically for "trps" because there are a lot of threads created for the zmga trps alone, it's been a week now and I don't know why they have not replied to my request till now and acting as "dormant" as the activity which the people are claiming here to be.
