I never said Vanraj is the greatest or the ideal person, I merely mentioned that he too has redeeming qualities that make him likeable amd relatable at times. The problem with you people is that you only see one side of the coin that is dark side and start bashing people based on just that as if they have never done anything right in their lives. People are not perfect and can make mistakes or have traits that may make them unlikeable but that doesn't mean they are completely evil or bad.
And I dont understand what is this recent phenomenon of fantasizing about out and out dark characters and pull them in purview of grey when they are absolutely not. Its going on everywhere on social media now.
Anyways, i do understand grey side of people. And i completely agree that people like anuj are not common, i dont even want all men to be ike him but definitely they shouldn't be like V also. V is not grey, he is dark completely. People use to say that whatever he was but he is a good son now after recent development would you call a man a good son if he can throw his old mother out of his house after insulting her in public. What is he now? A good son to only is father? People say he is a good brother who has sponsored dolly's education, marriage and financially supported her whenever needed but then he goes on and demand to repay all the debt by signing house papers. He do realize he did that in anger but how convenient, first snatch your sister's right then say with crocodile tears that you shouldn't have done it. If he was so guilty he could have tore the papers or at least apologize to dolly but no he didn't even think about her after that. V can never truly have any redemption. That man failed as son, brother, husband and father and even as lover because he is now emotionally cheating kavya for anupama.
If you really wanna see grey then see the number two show. ML there is what truly grey is. He had been borderline abusive husband but still he has done so many good things to so many people that he can be redeemed. But unfortunately people in those fanclubs are so FL bhakts that they start bashing people who disagree. While the truth is that I find the FL there as borderline psychotic.
Yes you can be a prick as long as you fulfill your responsibilities, take Vanraj himself as an example, he may not be the best husband,or he may discriminate against samar but at the end of the day he has made sure that he fulfilled his part of job that is providing for the family right? Similarly Bapuji is like an angel compared to his son, the ideal husband and father but ironically the same person fell short when it came to being a provider for his family. You are bashing Vanraj based on the belief that every man should be like Anuj Kapadia. I am sorry but that just doesn't happen
Yes there are no anuj kapadia in real life or may be very rare but no one wants to end up with V or bapuji like man either. Completely agree whatever your view point on bapuji but please V jaisa insaan hone se achha dub maro kahi. Still I would say that the fact you earn well doesn't give you a right to be absolutely jerk to the ones who depends on you financially. If you expect someone to take every shit from you because you pay their expenses then it is nothing but slavery which is wrong in every way ie. Legal, moral, human.
Coming to Pakhi and Toshu, yeah it's totally okay because they have their own reasoning and perspective for behaving the way they do, not everyone is an anupamaa bhakt like samar, kinjal and nandini, I just don't understand why is it so wrong if the kids side with Vanraj over their mother?
Accepted that samar is anu bhakt however he also has his own reasons and thought process to do so just like you said toshu and pakhi has different set of belief. Kinjal is not a bhakt. She had fight with anu over ghar ka kaam and she put her points well. She didn't like it when anu kicked out rakhi dave, it was evident from kinjal's face she was sad for her mother. But right now she is supporting anu because she is a sensible person and she can see what is right and what is wrong.
And even after having different perspective about life pakhi cant disrespect her mother in front of while family and emotionally blackmail her for living with her abusive cheater husband just because little pakhi wants her family together. Its sickening as a daughter, as a girl. She is not allowed anything like that just because she is good in academics and toshu is even not a self made man, he was dependent on his MIL for job and shelter. Even if he had been working independently, a son doesn't get the right to call his mother as character less woman in front of all. And you cant expect people to understand and respect such type of son.
It is not a sin to make a career in arts, but it is obviously not wise to give up studies just because of that otherwise Alia Bhatt wouldn't have been trolled for it that even brutally on Social media. Educated people command more respect than those who give it up, that's a fact irrespective of how they are.
I can understand from where you are coming here. What you believe is long taught theory in indian culture. My grandma used to say whenever we children wanted to play or do other activities for more time- padhoge likhoge banoge nawaab, kheloge kudoge banoge kharab. And we used to take it very seriously. Neither of us siblings were allowed to give more attention to extra curricular then academics and we used to believe its for our betterment.
But success in life, character building, how one person turns out be after growing up never completely depends on academic alone.
Sachin tendulkar did only high school but is worshipped like God. Lata mangeshkar ji a school drop out, had won several awards. Even these people are not well educated but no one makes fun of them.
Coming to alia bhatt, being educated and being aware is two different things. She became regular target of trolls after she gave epic answer in kjo show abouy maharashtra cm. So an uneducated person will also know the name of cm because if he cant read if can see news or hear discussions doing rounds among other people there are many source to have that info. Ranbir is a college graduate but he also once failed to tell the names of important political leaders in a show. So it never really depends on education. Its about personality, awareness, image and character building, achievements.
