Beliefs:
1. Neither Chay nor Sam cheated. Sam's stylist knew exactly what he was doing by seeding that rumour. He then had the temerity to insist Chay defend him against the affair rumours involving him. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
The comments of "Like father, like son": Chay is first Lakshmi's son and Venky mama's nephew and last, Naga's son. Venky, Chay's mom and Chay's paternal and maternal grandfathers seem to have had a bigger influence on his life and values than his father did.
2. Sam was on a movie blitz so that she could start a family. Abortion rumours and Sam not wanting to have a family are malicious. Amla Akkineni gave a glowing endorsement of Sam post divorce news.
3. Family Man 2 played a big role in the split and it isn't due to Chay being a misogynist. The story that puzzled me the most was the following: the Akkinenis were seriously threatened (loss of business or physical threats - not sure) after Family Man 2 was released.
4. Sam is very bitter and wounded about the divorce because she did not want it. I can see the Akkineni's offering the alimony despite the pre-nup and Sam's earning power and wealth.
5. The attacks on Sam are not coming from the Akkineni's. Naga is protective of his family but is not willfully malicious. Chay values his privacy. Sam does not. The streetfighter in Sam is strong and I would not be surprised to read that she is fanning the flames to garner sympathy.
Chay's wealth: he has generational wealth and film industry heroes earn more than heroines. From the figures quoted, Chai would have been earning at least twice as much as Sam per movie.
Sam gets paid for her instagram posts. I read that she donates that money to her NGO. I 100% believe her insta posts were a problem for the family. Does that make them regressive and controlling? I don't think so. In an interview with Chay, Sam stated that she independently made her career decisions while Chay considers the impact of his decisions on his family.
Sam will make it in Bollywood. She is talented but also overrated. She has the glam look for which she traded her natural beauty. Her thirst and terror of the deprivation she knew as a child will continue to drive her. That is the source of her ambition: fear of poverty.
Chay: I too read that Naga did not want Sam for a daughter-in-law but grew to love her. Chay is headstrong and marches to the beat of his own drum. In an interview during the release of "Love Story" he spoke about life defining changes he went through in the last year and during the shooting of the movie.
Conclusion: he outgrew Sam.
