Yeah I keep hearing about KHKT but I never watched it when it was airing. I saw the promos and things but it never appealed to me to watch.

SS's biggest blunder was stopping the lead driven plots. Just because he get a good actor for a side character, the show did not all of a sudden become a 3 lead show, so the excessive emphasis on Mandar, but NOT on the FL being affected by him, is what totally ruined the track.

Villains are always needed in ITV - so everyone expects it - but it was the excessiveness that no one wanted to see. Not online audience and not TRP aunties. And he's doing the same again right now with Esha + Sunny.

Look at any of the top trp shows - villains are shown regularly but in moderation, they never overtake the leads, ESPECIALLY not the female lead. But this was the problem in M track - which made a lot of disconnect with Pallavi & this is the problem now - we're not getting enough of P's thoughts and feelings on the situation, nor are the scenes revolving around her (now it's not so much a disconnection issue but more so that it's not fair we're not seeing more of her).

Since they already shot the episodes and are desperately trying to fill up the airing time with Milind-Sulo scenes, I won't be too hopeful about this week Sharada. Maybe starting this Saturday or Monday we'd get different content.

Looking at this now, I kinda wish SS had gotten to show his much desired MU during the Mandar track. At least we wouldn't be putting up with this tadka now and maybe the show would've survived. This is definitely much worse than the M track IMO😳

This guy has so much creative potential yaar Sharada, it's unfortunate he can't think beyond tadka and has to worry about budget issues. Like Fria said, he doesn't know how to do justice to his love stories. Watching KHKT and now this, I think he just doesn't realize the raw potential and the USP of his own shows, unlike EK who knows the strength of each of her shows and promotes them based on that.

No IPK 2 did not happen like that. When IPK was yanked off within 4 days there was a huge craze from the fans to bring back IPK again with the same leads - I think there are still few fans who still spam the hell out of SP to cast Barun - Sanaya together.

So when SP got new love story which was named Astha they changed it to IPK 2 but within 50 episodes the PH went back to telling their own story which was a typical Saas - Bahu story.

Sickand's casting for this show was spot on but it is unfortunate that he never explored the chemistry of Raghav - Pallavi or the side characters like Nikhil - Pallavi, Raghav - Nikhil, Farhad - Amrutha. He should stick with EK type of shows because romantic shows is not his forte. Woh kya kahte hain - Romantic shows banana har kisse ke baas ki baat nahin (RR style)

No.. i am thinking that the whole team knew about the last date , last week itself when the so called shocking and rocking twist didnt get them the skyrocketing trps. Sandip commenting on sai’s insta post was pretty much a farewell post for him.. I think it was just made public with this weeks trp which showed the trend of trps for this track.

The tadka will be there till the last day i believe. this is what happened in khkt and am guessing this is his modus operandi. Also since the mandaar track, all this show has is tadka..

Am not sure what to make of shivangi’s you will get what u want.. M thinking may be pallavi will walk out of raghav’s life forever and show will end..May be thats the only realistic bit of this entire plot.

I truly don't think he knows what to do after an ILU confession. I never watched KHKT to compare so I'll only speak on MHRW.

Here, the show went downhill during M track IMO bc of 2 reasons

1) emphasis on M more than P and her thoughts. It turned into a M v. R show and they ignored FL completely

2) early ILU confession. No TRP aunty cares to see that quick of an ILU. They want the tension, the jealousy, the longing, the push & pull of figuring out feelings. Look at GHKKPM and PS milking this part of the show.

After the early ILU, there was no way you could separate R+P and have the audience understand the separation. R was too deeply in love with P to ever let her go and P was too in love with R to ever not be confident in their relationship. So the love story part of the story kind of came to a stand still.

If they had shown that they felt things but wasn't sure waht the other one felt. If they had shown P being confused about her feelings (rightfully so in this situation bc there was no declaration of love from either side). If they had shown R wanting P to be his, but not knowing how to voice it because he ws worried he wasn't worthy of her. etc etc etc, we'd all be watching a much better show now and M track would have faired better IMO. People would've been able to stomach P doing those things / being oblivious if she wasn't sure if she loved R or if she wasn't sure what she felt for him.

This is why the accident track was so good IMO. The feelings from both sides were clearly there but they weren't named so the tension between the two were at an all time high. I'll never forget that wake up scene.

I've watched enough romance drama shows to know when to pull the ILU trigger - and this was pulled too early in this show.

Since they already have shot the separation and the reveal I am hoping they trim the unnecessary scenes and make it crisper - I am hoping from mid of next week we might get crisper scenes.

The reason why Mandar track did not go well is because Sickand outright showed that Mandar is psycho. That did not go well because TRP audience does not like FL being harassed or that creepy Tum Mere Ho BG coming in every 5 mins. Had Sickand done the way other PHs do - subtly show that Mandar is psycho and is lusting after Pallavi the track would have worked. But Sickku went full on tadka and that totally flopped the track.

@b: And this is exactly why EK shows or even Rajan Shahi shows go on for years. I'm traumatized by EK and the Co.'s shows and tracks for life but gotta give credit where due. People don't expect it to be all lovey-dovey all the time but there is a reason the leads are called "the leads". They're supposed to lead, not be treated as secondary characters whose feelings and thoughts don't matter to the audience. I get his excitement to introduce these negative iconic characters because maybe he wants to do what TV shows in the West do: have one or two big baddies who are evil and outright negative or questionable and yet people manage to gush over them or connect to them. It's a great thing to experiment but ITV's demography is different, and so are our expectations. Not to mention that Western shows still do a great job of balancing the ss they give to the antagonist/s and the leads. In an attempt to make it intriguing and suspenseful, SS ruins the organic charm of his shows that so many creatives *cough* EK *cough* never manage to create in their shows.

In hindsight M track will always be better bc no one cheated on each other lol & P was 100% clear with R.

The big problem here is not only did R "sleep" with E, he is also keeping this from his wife while his ex is living in his house. On top of everything else he's doing as a consequence of what happened. I thought P was insensitive to R's feelings in M track but this - what R is doing despite feeling guilty and bad bout it - is another level of insensitivity. He's taking the right for her to make a decision about their lives away from her. By lying or hiding the truth, he's keeping her in the dark, and that's what's so intolerable about this current track.

This.. the confession was really the beginning to the end of this show.. every love story try ti stretch the confession with drama, angst, focus on the leads feelings for each other but alas, none of it was explored especially with the kind of chemistry the two had.. ah the potential!!!
Am curious as to what made the team give the confession so early?

With KHKT it was pretty stupid because it was just before the Covid started and all shows were shut down in India during March 2020. It was lockdown and Sickand kind of shut his show before the lockdown and hence the end was very bad. I am hoping he would give a better ending because they had about 5 weeks to close the show properly.
