I think he can act but he chooses not to in order to appeal to the lowest common denominator which he thinks will make his films more lucrative. And that worked...for a while but not anymore.

1.Talented- Unbelievably unquestionably supremely talented

2. Can he act - How can you doubt? Haven't you seen Biwi no. 1?

he knows being serious will not get him anywhere so he is cringe-macho type to appeal to his audience.

even that formula seems to be getting old and stale

When Salman Khan tries to showcase his acting talent, we get something like Tubelight. So it's much better for us that he doesn't "choose" to act.

Yeh kya behuda sawal hai, of course he can't act.

He is a bad actor and bad person.
