I think it was the other way around 🤭 Rahul kept killing her vibe.

What’s wrong you guys? How can you not love this goofball?

They did not highlight this issue in the movie but they should have. He had to leave his family, money, class, status, and country because of one girl.

Well, his family chose to leave him over one girl. They chose parampara, pratishtha and anushasan over their son 🤷‍♀️

Yash asked him to leave the house, said he is not their blood and nobody fought for him. Not even his melodramatic mother, who apparently loved him the most. Which mother doesn’t fight for her child?

Also, Yash Raichand was kind of a douchebag 🤔

What else should Rahul have done? Bend over backwards for them, when he clearly wasn’t valued enough?

Also, Rahul was living in a posh locality in London. He clearly made enough money to give his family a good lifestyle. Plus, Anjali loved him much more than either of his parents; enough to stick by him through richer or poorer.

No.

When you live together over years you get to this vibe of being buddy like. Every married couple I know of is embarrassed about one thing or the other about each other. Its not regretting.

Also had he regretted and wanted to be back he could have tried to mend his ways with Yash at the mall. He didn't do it because Yash insulted and didn't accept Anjali. He stood by and loved the girl always.

Like somebody already mentioned, he fell in love with her while she was being her OTT self and from the scenes in London, it seems that he does still love her and he humours her weird shenanigans. She seems to represent a contrast to the dull and stifling environment in the Raichand home. A typical case of opposites attract.

Kind of meta, in a way, given the tea about how Kareena was the only other cast member who wasn't cold/distant from Hrithik, lol.

To answer the question: I don't know if he regretted, but that marriage was certainly not portrayed as particularly warm, loving, and fuzzy. It was even worse if you consider one of the deleted scenes in GAP (?). Rahul treated her more like a burden during the second half, which is one of the many reasons I much prefer the younger Rohan/Poo pairing--much more complimentary and balanced and healthy.

I think Rahul was borderline depressed in the second half, he's not his happy self of the first half.. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. But I loved SRK's performace in the second half,
