Update dated 25th April 2008

Rahul and Vinit sing Welcome title song while the other challengers and champions enter the stage... Rahul says, he is missing Vinit and asks Vinit to come to champion side this week at all cost... Vinit says I feel very sad for the champion seniors... Rahul then says, think about TRPs and all.. You just impress the judges and come to our side... Mandira then enters and asks them to take their own respective seats...

Bottom three are:

Rooprekha Banerjee

Prajakta is asked how does it feel to see Rooprekha in the bottom three.. She says who ever gets eliminated, I will feel very bad and there will be a guilty conscience...

Next bottom three contestant is Debojit...
Then it is Aishwarya

Comments by judges

Shekhar - All three are very good singers.. This is not the end for you all.. You all have long way to go..

Farah - I think the fan following of Rooprekha and Debojit can save them more than Aishwarya...

Vishal - The loss is for the show... There are many weaker singers than you..

Rooprekha - I was expecting this because I had got less marks last week...

The first one to get saved is Debojit...

Aishwarya is eliminated

Shekhar - You are a very good singer.. Everyone say that you dont have fan base, but I am your biggest fan...

Farah - Im feeling really bad and I have always been giving you 10-10-10...

Vishal - It was our pleasure to have you here.. If we compare the voice texture, then your voice has been the best among all the contestants here...

Aishwarya - Everyone gets blessings, probably the blessings fell short for me from others.. My only dream is that after 20 years, in the music industry, if people remind some names, then it should be one of Aishwarya.. He also conveys his love for his parents..

Challengers Performances:

First challenger is Himani... She sings Ishq kabhi kariyona...

Farah - Im totally shocked because of Aishwarya's exit.. I just want to give you less marks so you dont go to Champion side and be there in the contest.. But I have to be true to the job.. Score - 9

Shekhar - You sang very well, especially the alaap.. Score - 9

Vishal - your voice was tooo goood and you sang very well.. Score - 10

Next contestant is Amit Sana... He sings Saatiyaa title song...

Abhijeet - Never look back... Today it was real Amit.. We have been feeling that because of the format, good singers were leaving.. But today we feel that challengers are really singing well...

Shekhar - you sang well.. Your intentions were correct, but at certain places, you couldnt do that.. You tried your best... Just keep the riyaz going on... Score - 7

Farah - You sang really well.. Score - 9

Vishal - It was almost champion performance... Score - 8

Farah - If we watch you, its good... But if we close our eyes, then we feel that your sur are not perfect... score - 7

Abhijeet - Duniya end hain... He asks him to do one step.. Ravinder does the same step for abhijeet..

Vishal - I really appreciate you for coming out of the particular genre and singing.. Score - 8

Farah - Im having a problem deciding which one was good - whether dance or music?? I can really get why you never got out inspite of bad performance.. Score - 7

Shekhar - I could see some great improvement in your performance.. Your entry was good.. Score - 7

Next challenger is Priyani.. She sings Nimbooda

Vishal - Your dedication and attitude in the entry was too good.. score - 6

Farah - I have to be honest... I still felt it was Off.. score - 6

Next challenger - Sumitra sings Sajna ji vari vari...

Abhijeet - performance was good... There was something wrong.. Either the track or your voice was sharp..

Shekhar - The anthra was sharp... score - 7

Vishal - The attitude was good.. Sometime I felt you were feeling uncomfortable... He asks her to sing little again.. Shekhar says track was good, but its you who has picked it up wrong... score - 7

Farah - I liked your performance a lot.. There is lot more improvement.. I liked your control.. score - 8

Next challenger is Toshi... He sings chaiyya chaiyaa from dil se...

Comments:

Farah - This has become iconic song, but I felt the energy was very less. score - 7

Vishal - He asks if he has lowered the scale.. Toshi says yes half note.. You sang well, but energy was less... score - 8

Shekhar - If you have the same power for low notes as compared to your high notes.. Then you will do really well.. score - 8

Next challenger - Harshit... I hv tried to choose a good song to sing.. He sings rut aa gayi re... Ishmeet comes and gives a hug...

Comments:

Shekhar - This is the best performance I have ever heard.. score - 10

Farah - If Sukhwinder was there, he would have jumped before Ishmeet and given you a hug.. score - 10

Vishal - Tremendous performance... Perfect singing.. score - 10

Vinit sings Tumse milke dil ka hain jo haal... He forgets the lyrics, but picks it up very well..

Rahul - His low notes have a hollow... He needs to work on it...

Vishal - There is nothing to worry, it happens with all singer... score - 8

Farah - Im a big fan of yours, but today was not your day.. score - 7

Shekhar - You sang the anthra very well... so wl gv me 10.. score - 10

Vinit says he is very sorry for forgetting the lyrics and that his Mom will be very angry... vishal says he will apologise for him to his mother... Vinit says he wl work hard to get on to champion side...

Now, the judges comments:

Farah - We feel that because there is no pressure of getting eliminated, the challengers are not performing well.. So, we need to change the format a little...

Vishal - The one who has got less marks in challenger side, should also get eliminated.. This way we can have better performances every week...

The contestants are asked if they agree to this... Except for Amit Tandon everyone agrees.. He says he has been working hard so much.. Abhijeet says he might be working, but maybe his focus and path is not correct.. Amit objects to that and says his path is correct... Farah says its not him who is getting targetted, but all the challengers... So, its decided that one challenger will get eliminated every week from next week onwards...

Prajakta asks if the champion elimination remains the same.. Farah answers that Champion elimination will be done on saturday and it remains the same while Friday one challenger will get eliminated based on the judges score!!
