I just think that he is extremely damaged inside, there's still a lot of guilt, bitterness, pain, trauma etc. that has been festering inside for too long, especially since it started at such a young age, during his formative years. Somewhere over the years he's developed this self-destructive tendency as well. Even if he weren't drinking, the amount of mental suffering the guy has been through and continues to go through could give him a heart attack at a young age purely from a stress/emotional distress perspective.

If the CVs had the courage, I'd want to see them help Raghav grow as a person but never fully heal because some things in life leave scars. His family is the soothing breeze that eases the pain but over time he learns to deal with it, knowing that it will never go away 100%. This would be much more realistic and I'd rather they didn't tie everything neatly into a bow. It doesn't mean that he won't be happy but some experiences in life change you forever and you can't undo them, especially because they shape the person you become.

Scars are the imprint of the struggle and also the achivement of yourself over tough times so they're gonna be there. earlier Raghav had no one to share the with. Nobody who's gonna understand his pov without judging him but now he has Pallavi. Every step he takes, she takes it with him.

A childhood trauma ain't easy, trust me, been there so i know how it freaks the shit out of you but such things deserve love, care , support and at times therapy. I won't rile up if the CV's show Raghav getting some professional help in the face of therapy, it might actually come out as a change on itv and i am up for it.

But yes for him to get to his future, he's gotta heal and he will.
