Also agree that a person needs to realise themselves but I don’t trust Ragahv enough for that and anyway, family won’t ever stop helping. Therapies are more successful when familial support is there, this is also a fact.

Also almost all psychiatric issues (alcoholism included) - a married person shows better prognosis. So I am glad he has pals to look upto.

she is an absolute sweetheart anyway 😳

Raghav is the kind of person who tries to fix his mistake once he realizes it but he is far from that point where he realizes that he has this vicious cycle of resorting to alcohol when problems arise or his feelings overwhelm him.

Yes, it's good that Pallavi can support him but I don't personally like the tendency on ITV to show that the spouse will help while the person dealing with alcoholism or whatever other issue is not held accountable for their decisions. It would be a much better arc for Raghav to introspect, whether it's after talking to Pallavi, a therapist, or both, and then realizes how he gets sucked into this vicious cycle and what triggers it. He has to find a healthy outlet/coping mechanism and have that discipline within himself to change his way of dealing with issues, otherwise it just becomes a bandaid, as I said elsewhere.

Also, In the tracker episode I disapproved of what Raghav did as being wrong in and of its own, iraadi sahi, tareeqa ghalat. I didn't respond to it by saying oh but Pallavi also does xyz so I kept comparisons with Raghav out of the post initially.

In her case, her extremes too are currently shown as character traits and she is never shown to introspect and right now it's clear that it is an explicit creative decision by writers.

I am not going to open pandora's box by talking about her apologizing or not because there are varied opinions, but the point is that her extreme actions have often been painted with the brush of comedy or her being a concerned spouse, even though some of it is unhealthy.

As viewers we interpret things differently so I understand that you have your own perspective on this and I respect that. For me personally, I find her methods hard to digest but her concern is fantastic because he needs and deserves a spouse who is able to think about him to this extent.

Wahi toh i am saying. It's writers fault that they either keep it extreme or just let it go.

Raghav apologized and Pallavi didn't is a really big hole they dug there when there shouldn't be any. If one of them is apologizing for their mistakes then so should the other. But that is a different topic and the writers never do justice.

@italic : exactly everyone has different opinions but i know we all can agree on one basic thing that they start off a topic extremely well but then indulge in lazy writing putting random scenes and dialogues anywhere. Her methods are mixed here. Some that i completely support and some that i am extremely confused about because i have no clue where these writers are actaully travelling towards.

I do agree with what you say. She's promised him that she won't come in between if the reports are fine but as a spouse it's her duty to help him in such scenario.

Honestly i have no hope from the writers so either they are gonna give it a high road of excessive drama like we're witnessing right now where she locks the things up and gives him 501rs for his daily expense or rather take a dry road where Raghav does something in his drunk self and then feels guilty about it. Hence, suddenly dropping it ( i really wish they don't do this. I can never take this useless writing again).

Writer's have been doing injustice to her character. They built it up but then dropped it for the audeince during the Mandaar track and since then we haven't seen much of her pov and growth since then. Similarly they built Raghav so well but then ended up butchering him in the recent one with constant drinking.

@bold I really hope this doesn't happen. It gets monotonous seeing the same rinse and repeat formula to finish each track, that too hastily.

Someone tell the writers that it's much simpler and more effective to have less OTT methods and have them talk to each other, their emotions, their future together and then help Raghav realize that he wants that future with her, their kids, their niece/nephew, etc. For that he has to look after his health.

A great example was today when he panicked at the thought of having a terminal illness and wanted to make his will right away. He has to realize that he is the central point in many people's lives, not just his family but also those who rely on JJ for their livelihoods. If anything happens to him, it all comes crumbling. If they can extrapolate this and show him thinking through the various outcomes of his current lifestyle and then deciding to moderate or abstain from drinking, trying to address his core issues etc. that would be such a fantastic arc.

@bold : this.. This actually sums up the main solution. I think they took it's first step when Raghav over heard that employees conversation when he shut off one of the showrooms. His work influences people that are working for him and hence his life is way too important than he give himself credit for. It's not just his Amma, wife and sister. It included Farhad, the people working for him, even the Deshmukh family. Everyone connected with him suffer

Well said!

I just think that he is extremely damaged inside, there's still a lot of guilt, bitterness, pain, trauma etc. that has been festering inside for too long, especially since it started at such a young age, during his formative years. Somewhere over the years he's developed this self-destructive tendency as well. Even if he weren't drinking, the amount of mental suffering the guy has been through and continues to go through could give him a heart attack at a young age purely from a stress/emotional distress perspective.

If the CVs had the courage, I'd want to see them help Raghav grow as a person but never fully heal because some things in life leave scars. His family is the soothing breeze that eases the pain but over time he learns to deal with it, knowing that it will never go away 100%. This would be much more realistic and I'd rather they didn't tie everything neatly into a bow. It doesn't mean that he won't be happy but some experiences in life change you forever and you can't undo them, especially because they shape the person you become.

Such repetitive stuff and overall bad writing and execution. Pallavi’s mysterious past is such a good thing to explore but koi Nahi , they can continue serving stale pasta, I’m toh bored 🥱.

Actual cartoons are entertaining than them .
