To answer the question:

Ajay Devgan is the better actor out of this trio, but he sucks at comedy. The only performance of Sanjay I liked was Munna Bhai, but that’s probably because he was acting mostly like himself (Gangster role).

Honestly, I have never rated Salman as a good actor. The only performance of his that I liked was Hum Saath Saath Hain and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Humble and sushil-shant kind of roles suit him better as he’s not required to emote much other than smiling shyly and looking down majority of the movie. His comedy movies are lame. No comments on Masala movies. His ripped shirts has more movement than his own expressions.

Salman isn’t good at emotional scenes, especially crying. It kind of resembles a constipated baby, who after straining for a while, ends up wailing from the pain. Though to be fair, I have liked and shed many tears over his tragic movies (Tere Naam, Kyon Ki & Phir Milenge). But then again, I’ll cry just seeing a random person eating a sandwich on their own. Point is, the tears had nothing to do with his acting but more from the storyline and my pathetic-overactive tear glands.

I didn’t find him funny in Ishq. For me, Aamir and Juhi carried the weight of the comedy throughout the movie.
