Bollywood isn't exactly the right industry to ask that question. A 1,000 movies are produced / year. A max of maybe 70-80 (1.5/week) see major city releases Who bankrolls the rest and with what kind of money?

Kishore Kumar once produced a film to incur a loss to offset income (again IT problem). Unfortunately it did not work. The film made money! 🤣
Just illustrating that path of profitability is often very much in the shade in this industry which no bank ever finances.

Well, that is true. But I wonder if these guys are in that league - some people in the entertainment business I checked with hadn't heard of him.
