Sorry, missed this bit. Why should they go to a recording studio to lipsync? So you mean they were recording the portion that they lip synced?

In yesterday's videos from BALH sets the voices were clearly not theirs - so they must have been lip syncing to the original songs which they will now sing in the recording studio.

The video of them in BALH, where everyone was dancing, had the song by some other singer and they were just lipsyncing. So, maybe the video was shot that way. And now they recorded their version in the studio which will then be superimposed( I think that's what it is called) on the video.
