Raghav has shown himself whiter than he is, allowing her to live in a bubble and entertaining her comments and beliefs. He even promised her that he'd pay CD and she believed him right away, because that's how she is, easily and overly trusting people she loves, she did it with the Deshmukhs, and now it's Raghav. I believe it is due to Raghav’s habit to please and lie in order to keep people close to him, and Pallavi’s nature to to place the tremendous amount of faith in the people she loves. Yes, indeed! Her bubble is about to shatter, they’ll have to face and talk about what they've both evaded up to this point.

@bold - her dialogues were off no doubt i personally took it as things she said in fit of anger realising that he lied to her and doesn’t necessarily mean that his generosity is facade to hide illegal business.

@bold 2-

He didn't say it out loud, but he has allowed her to live in a bubble in which he has changed after their marriage. The audience has known and seen Raghav's soft side before marriage, but it only came out in front of Pallavi as a form of redemption, so she believes he changed after that. As for business, he promised he'd stop, so in my opinion it wasn't wrong for Pallavi, as a character the way she is, to believe he's changed for the better, that he's changed major complaints she had about him, becoming perfect partner . I personally think, this is where Ramaswamy’s identity needs to get revealed so that Pallavi has deeper insight into how Raghav was prior to his redemption.

My whole point in my original post was that Pallavi (as of now) doesn’t wish to change Raghav’s personality as whole.

His generosity and eagerness to please was always there, we saw it in his dealings with Amma and Keerti even before his marriage. It's nothing new or faked. I think Pallavi chooses to ignore the harsh realities of life and ignore what she knows deep down. She slapped Raghav when he told her about the Ds, not because she thought he was lying but because she knew he was telling the truth and raising questions which deep down she knew were justified.

He asked for a chance to make things right for her and he wanted to send her away to free her of the marriage. He let her dictate many things in the relationship and was good to her as a husband but he never promised he was perfect. I knew in the scene he gave her the ring where she said he had reformed that it sounded wrong and that she was going to get a wake up call.

She is not a stupid woman who doesn't see what's going on around her. She wanted to believe in this fairy tale, she refused to listen to her inner voice which knew on some level that he was like that. That's why Sunny didn't have to work too hard to raise her suspicions. He touched a nerve because she knew deep down that Raghav was indeed capable of this. Also, she recently caught him lying to her about the stolen necklace and commissioner topic.

I am not blaming her. This is the kind of person she is. She wants to be involved in everything, whereas Raghav is different and draws a line between personal and professional life. As a husband, he's treated her well but hasn't wanted her to be involved in his professional matters. She wants the opposite so they're bound to clash.

Lastly, there's no such thing as a perfect partner and she has to learn this. I don't see her questioning her own actions in this regard or wondering what his expectations may be of his wife. I'm not bashing Pallavi, just showing the other side of the coin. She believes that if he's doing illegal things like smuggling, then he must be a rotten apple or bad in all other aspects and if he quits then he becomes a good man. This is why Amma's dialogue was so so important today. It's the core message that CVs want to give and I'm sure we'll see more of it.

Loved hearing your perspective, even if it's a bit different from mine. Thanks for sharing. 😃

Exactly.. though I highly doubt...but I hope that cvs take a neutral approach... because the world doesn't run on principles and moral only...if u don't some one else will benefit , bitter truth of the society we live in today ..so I hope they don't show raghav changing his way completely , may be just find an alternative like evading taxes without risking life of ppl working for him..

No humans are perfect

We become good and bad due to the situation we grow up

We get love unconditionally then we change for that person

I think RR is great as a human only he needs to change his business dealings ......

The title song is more like reassuring Pallavi that her life is going to be completed by a man..kind of theme. Yes, it addresses Pallavi but talks about Raghav!!

If this story was only and only about Pallavi than why does the title say mehendi hai rachnewali and talk about her future partner or show Raghav too..why not name the show Pallavi Akeli hai ladnewali...seriosuly this is a story of two characters..why should one be sacrificed for the other??

I don't remember Raghav ever stopping her after marriage as far as her work is concerned, on the contrary he even got her Nawab's project by reommending her and cutting down on his own profits...selective amnesia!! Not his fault if Pallavi gives more precedence to ex in laws and ex husband!!

Friends?? When did she have any?? The only mention ever has been a friend that was mudered by Mandar before her wedding..I don't see Raghav as a man who would stop Pallavi from meeting her friends..lol..u kidding right..he is not even stopping her from meeting her ex clingy psycho husband, why would he stop her from meeting friends??

Of course, he asked Pallavi to change her dressing style..which episode was that?? His first gift was downright rejected and ridiculed by the ladies of the family..and he will dictate her dressing style?? Bechare ka toh gift bhi reject ho jaata hai..woh kya kisiki style dictate karega 😆

I think understanding a character like Raghav is beyond certain people. As far as Amma and Kirti and of course Pallavi are concerned they know that they rule his heart, his mind and his house. On the contrary, in some way or another, all the women in his life have taken advantage of this, rejected him, insulted his love, have thrown it back in his face and have hurt him immensely..while he still continues to love them unconditionally..ironic!!

The months they have been married, all Raghav has done is support Pallu, in all her undertakings...i would like to see a man who would ever let his wife take care of an ex husband, and show support to a wife who leaves her current one high and dry and decides to stay at her in laws place. I m wondering here, are we watching the same show?? I mean are we talking about the same man because the Raghav you are talking about seems to be created by your biased imagination..and the one we see on our screens has a totally different set of attributes.

I agree, we do need to ask someone here why put up with this.. why HE did put up with her through all that crap. Why does he help her, her so called Aai, her so called Baba?? Why put up with her at all and her selfish ex inlaws??

Keyword..selfish.. and when u mention that word..only one person comes to mind, one who has stubbornly again and again only thought about what she wants, what she thinks is right, what she wants to do..A marriage is about two people...two ..not about one dictating right and wrong and the other simply complying!!

Aptly you have put eve❤️

Aside from his business dealings, the one thing I'd like him to address, if possible, is his insecurities about relationships. He's always worried that people will leave him because of his abandonment issues. I hope they show him going for therapy or counseling to work on this. He still suffers from that trauma.

I mean I’m not surprised it’s ITV after all

I knew they’d pull in raghavs business as being “illegal” in some angle

I think pallavi just doesn’t want him to smuggle his diamonds, like she doesn’t want him to employ people to do a dangerous job

Whatever it is, this was the only way to bring this track to light I’m guessing, fact still is that raghav does value money a LOT which isn’t bad, but it can also be bad too!

Agree!

I think if they turn it around to show that with the money he saves from customs, he funds orphanages and ashrams etc just so Pallavi can see that he doesnt do it for himsef. He helps people instead of giving money to the pockets of rich people. Maybe she will start to understand him better
