Javed Akhtar case: Kangana appears in court

Actor Kangana Ranaut appeared before the Andheri court today in a defamation case filed against her by lyricist Javed Akhtar. The case has been adjourned till 15th November. Ranaut's lawyer has filed a transfer application in the case which will be heard on 1st October.

I thought her lawyer said that she had COVID-19 symptoms then why is she walking around without a mask.

Does she have the y security still? For what reason? Nothing happened to her. She didn't even gave to NCB any drugs traffickers names.

Woman and girls get raped on daily basics. And this woman uses tax payers money to get security. That money can be put for better security for woman in the country.

He is the most ridiculed bolly man ever, even krk's twitter feed being more positive than his says a lot about the kinda person jadu is. I don't undestand how and why court entertains such rubbish pleas when there are lakhs of more serious cases need urgent hearings.

That’s a little bit more than small trolling, claiming he threaten her. As a citizen he has the right to clear his name so good for him

She also connected that claim to SSRs death and Mahesh Bhatt saying Javed is his friend and part of a Bollywood Suicide Gang and that he could get away with pretty much any crime in Mumbai with his political connections. Not only slander but conspiracy nonsense gibberish.

Unless she has any proof of any of this (and the burden of proof is on her or she could have kept her mouth shut) - and if she did her lawyer would have presented it a year ago - it's a rather clear case of defamation that's been dragged out by the courts accommodating all her bogus delays. Now she says she wants to transfer the case because she's unhappy with this court - a court that's bent over backwards for her shenanigans (the latest being bogus COVID) but finally made her show up.

If it's verbal and she doesnt have any proof, doesnt mean it didnt happen. People do casually threat each other all the time. Javed being a motor mouth must have said things which kangna had brought out in open. But for such a casual banters, there was no need to slap cases on each other. Imagine if everyone starts doing it in a country of a 1.4 billion people? Sorry but javed is using celeb privileges which i would never appriciate. Kangna is no doodh ki dhooli but then so is javed. IMHO, he is wasting tax payer's money and court's time for personal grudges.

Nope. Not celeb privileges. No one can be accused of crimes without proof, or they risk being hauled to court for libel.

Javed Akhtar doesn't have to put up with being called names.

And yeah, it's not up to Kangana to decide who he sues.

The judge must've run away the moment she opened her mouth.
