Hmmm, I suppose you misunderstood my post, Snatch (as your sarcasm doesn't fit to what I meant...the vice versa meant: it already got announced that Dhar -allegedly - would like to do another movie with Ranveer... so then the rumour gets spread that Farhan will do Don 3 with him (just to keep Farhan relevant).

No, it's a fictional one created by Salman's father and Farhan's father.

No, definitely not Dawood. The OG movie starring Amitabh Bachchan was released in the 70s, when Dawood hadn’t yet become a huge name though he had certainly started down the path of a life of crime.

It was then rebooted with SRK again sometime in the early to mid 2000s and the movie still more or less followed the same beats of the one penned by Farhan’s dad and his partner Salim Khan in the 70s; though they obviously tweaked things a bit to include modern touches in terms of say technology, locations, etc. and changed the ending to turn it into a franchise but only 2 movies were ever made with SRK in it. This is supposed to be the 3rd instalment with a 3rd actor taking over the reigns as Don.

So far of the two actors who have played the character, neither has been inspired by Dawood either in terms of looks or backstory.
