Malharrao mentions how women have to be respected everywhere and he would not let any perpetrator get away, he would not let that happen as it would be unfair to the women. He feels sad about not giving proper punishment when complaints were recieved earlier and apologises to Manjula.
Later, in the private court, Ahilya, Tukoji and Gangoba are meeting Malharrao where he congratulates and praises her. He says he is thankful for Nizam that he went to her village and met her, chose her as his daughter-in-law. He says he is happy that he has found an able administrator. Ahilya breaks down saying it's not easy for her to balance family and administration/praja.
Malharrao then gives a lecture, that this dilemma is common, but using their knowledge and wisdom to make the right decision, do what is in best interest of everyone. Today everyone might be angry and not understand you but history will remember you for it, always.
Gangoba says you both (Ahi&Tuko) are lucky to have a guru like Malharrao.
Gangoba and Tukoji leave for preparations of Pilaji's punishment.
Ahilya asks that if her decision would create problem for Seetabai.
Dwarkabai, Seetabai and Dhanaji-Gunoji are talking. Dhanaji says that he will never forgive Ahilya and Malharrao for his disrespect. He will wage a war and asks Dwarkabai to choose her side. Gunoji tries to pacify him but he leaves.
Gunoji goes after him. He tells Dhanaji that he overheard Malharrao talking to Ahilya and Gangoba, Malharrao wants Gunoji to lead a muhim to Jaipur and assist Rajput warriors.
Dhanaji reluctantly agrees.
