Call Bijoy anything, especially considering his behaviour towards Dev in this season, but his words are (however painful) not lies. Sometimes incomplete truths and favourable to Sonakshi (especially this season due to some typical ITV writing), but hard hitting facts mostly. He isn't anti Devakshi but he just wants his daughter to be happy like he was in life with an amazing and supportive family. The way they show how Dev-Sona are so uncannily similar to Bijoy-Asha (several instances were shown starting from when Sona laughingly tells Dev that her maa and baba were having a similar argument that morning-in that fateful episode where they get locked in) highlights the fact that a different and healthier home environment is what made the difference.
And coming to Bijoy's hard hitting truths, my special shout out is to the question he poses Sonakshi when he reluctantly consents for the marriage later-and that is- can Sonakshi avow with conviction that should another instance present itself in the future where Dev will have to make a tough choice, will he be able to hold her hand? And that's exactly the cause of their bigger separation, isn't it? All the little little things piled up and exploded with a trigger at the end. (Though our mind will immediately jump to Dev telling Sona at the farmhouse that he chooses her to live with separately and put an end to their problems- we know that is not the solution and also that wasn't even the main issue to begin with but a sum total of everything that transpired since their wedding day-starting with Sona questioning Dev why his mom agreed for the alliance when she clearly wasn't ready still.)
My ideal answer would therefore be the breakup point at the hospital but my idealistic, pro Devakshi mind would shout that Dev and therefore Devakshi deserved a second chance to live their fairytale by working on it better the next time round(which they again failed to but that was in the future from the break up) and I did not pick that. I still want to hold on to some straggling hope that Devakshi can go back to working like they did post reunion after the leap and picked the last one- may be counselling, if the makers treat the track well and not half ass it as they seem to have done with all their tracks so far in this season, helps them go back to team working as an awesome couple and parents.
Bijoy is literally my favourite character. He's not always right but he's pure hearted. He also actually feels real. His writing is the best.
I think his care and love for Sona is genuine. Same for Saurabh. He questions correct things. His suspicions about Dev have been right up untill now.
Also think he's a very patient person despite having huge temper. He forgave Dev for Sona. Lets not forget unlike sonakshi with ishu. Dev directly hurt bijoy slap then the house (atleast he thought he did) bijoy made a real sacrifice.
If it was a real relationship then the hospital breakup scene.
Simple MOM vs. GF mom will always win.
But if mom feels the need to compete with her son's GF over his time & affection then that family is 50 shades of messed up. Sona knew Dev was a mommy's boy. She knew for him his mother was god. She fell for him due to all the love & affection he should his family. She got into this with her eyes wide open.
