Raghav and Pallavi - A teetering equilibrium?

I have been comparing and contrasting these two characters and their individual traits from some time now. I wonder whether their equation strike a balance or is it just teetering at the precipice of an abyss now. I donot want to give any opinion in this matter, rather I want some from others. I will just note down my observations.

Pallavi is the quintessential good girl of the family. She obeys and helps and goes out of the way to avoid getting obliged or be grateful of. She is compulsively compassionate, undeniably kind, sometimes diabetically sweet and mostly has a small share of every other virtue ever discovered as well. She helps everyone despite their motives and her interpersonal relationship with any of them or lack thereof. She is brave and loyal and courageous as well. She knows how to stand up to people, for what she believes is right and remain undettered in the front of anyone whom she believes might possess the slightest risk to her family. She will burn for the people she loves.

She is also quick to judge and has implicit faith on the system which has given us a narrowed down defination of right and wrong. She sees the white without blemishes and the black without sparkles and has no patience for the grey in between. She trusts without inhibition and forgives without rancour. She is stubborn and adamant regarding her beliefs and come hell, heaven or high water she would not bend for what she thinks is wrong. She is deliberately obtuse regarding her righteousness which tends to get overbearing at times.

She is witty and smart and humourous. She knows how to play the situation in her favour. She is calm and composed and rarely gives way to hysterics. She prefers to see only the good in people yet is unafraid of their bitter side as well. She loves, like it is her only path to salvation. She would rather die than be separated from the one she loves. She is reliable and resplendent in her freshness.

She is Persephone. She is spring and will freeze over into winter for the one she loves.

Raghav is the typical untempered rougue we all secretly love. He is brash and raw. He has the grit of a sticky gum which refuses to come out untill you peel your skin along with it and has the polish of an uncut diamond. He is perpetually furious like a volcano waiting to erupt. He is compulsively impulsive, characteristically egotistic and a disaster waiting to happen. He is arrogant to a fault and self aware of his varied vices to the point of being vain. He is loud and savage and his presence attracts creepers like parasites to a strong host. He is built like an unbreakable wall and stands like it as infallible.

He is scarred and he is hurt. He smarts from the littlest of injuries and is affection starved. He is also painfully magnanimous, generous to a fault and has a rapier like tongue. He is bitter and cyanical and broken. He loves like he breathes, like a necessity for survival. He will kill for the people he loves. He suffers and he persevers. He is sharp as a whip and clever as a fox and ingenuious as a shark. He operates in the grey, teeters towards the black and longs for the white. He is headstrong and thick skulled.

He is fearless and refuses to forgive and be part of the soceity and the system which had long thrown him to the wolves. He is surprisingly honest and unknowingly caring. He would break and bend and fight and kick and scream to keep what he believes is his. He is bewildered at being cared for and overwhelmed at being loved. He is smug, suave and swanky.

He is Hades. He is winter and will melt into spring for the one he loves.

Now I have no idea whether this black and white can strike a balance and remain afloat. But I can safely say that though I personally love both the colours, my favorite has to be grey, the ultimate mixture.

They both are fire and ice apart. But when they come together they melt into each other.

Pallavi and Raghav are like an ocean. Like infinite laps that dissolve into the other, they can dissolve into each other without any trace.

She is the white he longs for in his life, white as pure as the snow that falls from the sky,

And he is the grey she needs to have in her life. Grey is an indicator of impending storm, but here it is the precursor for the sweet rain that will fill their lives with happiness.

She is everything he longs for and he is everything that she secretly admires. Together they are perfect.

I love this piece Anushkha ♥️♥️♥️. It is such an accurate sketch of their characters. You are truly talented. The comparison of them with Hades and Persephone took the cake actually. I am overwhelmed reading this. Thanks for tagging me everytime. 🤗

I got to your post before I got the tag notification.🤗

You've summed up their characterization to the T and that too in great detail.

I love the Hades Persephone parallel you've drawn because I believe they are whom the makers used as a drawing board while etching the characters of Raghvi.

He is Hades, the God of the underworld and she's his queen - his equal in everything. To the world both were happy and didn't need anything but that was far from the truth. They both were alone and broken and only the other could complete them and make them whole.

While he forcefully married her, the rest of their relationship was based on her choice. She chose to stay back with him and make his house a home. She left all that was dear to her for making him her priority.

If you observe their dynamic from the start to date, how much of an impact they left on each other. He became a better human being and she became more self-centred. They complemented each other so well that when it is Raghvi instead of Raghav or Pallavi, they can conquer anything.

Their love might have seemed forbidden to the world but to them it was all encompassing.

This is first hades and Persephone post I've read on them (other than 1 OS I've read long back). I want to write more but words fail me

If you can pls draw up the parallel between H and P and Raghvi in detail. I'd love to read.

Thanks a lot for the praise and the opinion. You are right.. they are fire and ice personified. I liked the perspective of the grey colour marking the advent of rain which you gave.

Oh yeahhh!!! I saw your like... 🤭🤭🤭

Really? I didn't read any OS. Plz give me the link if you can. I have an idea of writing the parallel between them. Lets see, if I can satisfactorily draw it up. I have it lying somewhere in the drafts. I'll check on it.

Thanks for the review. 🥰❤

Oh dear! Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this. I have written my opinions and quite a few writeups on RaghVi in the forum.. you can read those through too if you would like.

As for writing. I have developed a recent fetish for these two characters but I write a lot anyways. Too much I think sometimes 😆

But thanks again! 😊🤗❤
