Call for Shaan Sabherwal........get Shaurya Sabherwal!!! I only note this because it happens twice in this episode! Shaurya is so mean and angry on the phone initially and I love that hard shell. But he also can't help but assist someone in need and I love that soft center too. I'm a big fan of the dichotomy of hard and soft Shaurya! Shaurya's mind puts together the details so fast and deduces that he's the reason for Anokhi's troubles. He's also so righteous that he has to stand by the truth that Anokhi is innocent. This scene perfectly displayed Shaurya's character traits.

Why didn't Makkan recognize Anokhi?? WHY OH WHY?? I'll forever be mad about this loose end! It was sweet that he defended his employer, but our Anokhi is an independent woman who doesn't need Shaurya's ehsaan! From the beginning Shaurya gets annoyed if she asks others for help and doesn't accept his help. After lecturing Anokhi about asking his dad for help, he's surprised that Anokhi denied his help? I loved seeing the 'Ho ja mast malang tu" sequence! Anokhi has been living rent free in Shaurya's mind from the start!

Ask for Shaan sir and Mata rani sends her Shaurya sir! On interview day, she prayed for Mata rani's guidance and for Shaan sir to show up. Well, Mata rani knows to send exactly what Anokhi needs!! As she almost faints, Shaurya Sabherwal to the rescue!! Can't wait to see the continuation of the scene. SIAC staircase will witness so much in the future as well.

Side note:

~ I really liked the police officer that Anokhi interacted with. He seemed like such a upstanding guy.....very Ahir-like.

~ Gayatri and Kanchan are such cute Shastha shippers! And Anokhi fans. All the elder Sabherwals are preoccupied by Anokhi Bhalla without knowing anything; besides she's Aastha's student.

Precap: Anokhi's interview and smug Shaurya!! My favorite scenes are coming!! All episodes surrounding Anokhi's admission into SIAC are awesome!!

The innate goodness and righteousness that Ss inherited from his parents is still there inside just masked with a layer of hatred and rudeness to the outside world especially to Astha and anyone concerning her. It comes off naturally whenever situation demands and in that case it doesn’t matter who the other party is. The same happened when he received Anokhi’s call and though he tried hard not to get into her words, couldn’t hide his care and concern towards the innocent person Anokhi is. In that situation all he could think was to get her out of trouble and nothing else mattered.

He did take the trouble of sending Makkhhan to the police station and arrange for her temporary stay. Makkhan.. he is such a sweetheart all praises for his master. He was all proud to say that his master has a heart of gold. How much I missed Makkhan in later part of the serial. Anokhi was very polite in rejecting the offer and SS owing to his nature couldn’t handle a no in return of his favour. His ego hurt bad.

I was thinking the same thing. He always opens with anger, but his inner goodness always comes out.

He was sensible enough and told off the lady constable that they should be able to recognise between good and bad. He not only offers tea the next morning but remembers to wish her for her interview. It was a very positive scene which induces a sense of relief in Anokhi after the unpleasant encounters she had the previous day.

Whenever I watch this episode I feel was this role supposed to be the inspector in the og version but later as they wanted to show him to be in love with Anokhi brought a good known actor? Just my thought.

Yes! He's very Ahir-like. He must have gotten recast when they needed a known actor or maybe wanted to make him more powerful as an ACP. He did feel like the start of Ahir.

All these episodes surrounding her admission are my favourites and I’ve watched them countless number of times but still in awe of them.

After this episode I realised that Shaurya has indirectly and directly saved anokhi A LOT. Hmmm...I wish they had not made him such a big savior.

Like on one had I love how they are creating situations that destiny brings them together in such a way that he ends up saving her and on the other I would prefer Anokhi gets out of her own messes.

But LOVED the fact that Shaurya could have drowned anokhi in front of the inspector and his problem would be done away with but he chose to be a better person. He was considerate enough to send Makkhan and Anokhi being Anokhi refused!

Funny thing, for a house who is too hi fi they are obsessed with a random girls admission. 🤣Shaan is happy excited and Shaurya wants to "defeat" her. Alok is being his disgusting self.

It took them 29 episodes to show a typical "ITV fall" vo bhi semi fall. 🤪I really love this scene. Here Anokhi is struggling with her suit ase and her paperwork. And Shaurya is rukha as usual. She falls and he stabilized her (did not catch her). He told her that she should stop depending on people to save her. I don't think anyone ever had considered Anokhi as her own responsibility. Her father either considered her as his or husband's. This was the first time a man told Anokhi to grown up and take care of herself and I am sure, somehow that made an impact.

Side note 1 : Loved the way they showed police officials in a positive and sensible light.

Side note 2: Outside the station, Nikki is again forged to think about Shaurya outside of "professional" interaction.

Agree with everything you said. One thing is that Shaurya saving Anokhi wasn't overtly done. They were done is small scenes, so it never felt overwhelming or dramatic to me. The trunk scene is never revealed. The train scene is a misunderstanding. The police station phone call scene highlights Shaurya's goodness more than savior complex. The one time he did send direct help, Anokhi directly refused. The big 'save' was on the staircase, which as you noted took 28 episodes. There's more coming and we can discuss as it comes along.

It really is funny that all the Sabherwals are so obsessed with Aastha!

We were discussing a few episodes back that the hit and miss are nicer because they're not dramatic. Just two people passing each other by.

How interesting to see that Anokhi and her interview have become their topic of discussion at the breakfast table for the whole Sabherwal family. Each one has their very own thought about her. Mr Shaurya Sabherwal is all ready to level up the game so that it is challenging enough for The clever student of Astha’s. He took it as a challenge and wanted to make sure she doesn’t get through the interview.

What would he achieve? Ego will be satisfied that his mother who deeply hurt him by leaving him and dad who neglected him but taking care of someone else’s child will face a defeat? I somehow felt he took it too personally as Anokhi wasn’t at fault in all this. Just because of sour experience in your personal relationship it should t affect an innocent student. But still I don’t dislike him for that but love how he portrays it all.

Everything that I wanted to say has already been mentioned by each and everyone in bits and pieces:

My favourite:

Anokhi refusing help and Shaurya asking her to stop looking for support and take care of herself. Has he forgotten she refused his support?

'Dimaag Kharaab hein ouska', how many times will we hear Shaurya say this when it comes to Anokhi?

Sour Shaurya wants to break Anokhi's pride, when in fact it is all about self respect and self worth for her...

Finally: Dialogue of the episode:

Alok: Khilao ji Omelette...

@bold: Remember how Shaurya was always thrown off by Anokhi. His neurons don't connect well when it comes to he. He forgets what he says. He forgets what he believes. He's a paradox! Don't ask for help. Learn to stand without support. But also what the hell is wrong with her that she won't accept my help. The man is very confused!! 😆
