Pallavi’s jewellery

Ok not sure if anyone else feels this way but Raghav being a jewellery designer/owner of 100s of jewellery stores, Pallavi’s jewellery just seems a little out of place to me.

Till now Raghav has only given her a ring and then the jewellery during photo shoot which even then she took something else to wear but didn’t see it on her and Raghav put on a different set. There was a few sets but she only wore one set. I get that he is a guy etc and wouldn’t know but in this case he should know as he designs jewellery and owns stores. I mean also he might not want to interfere in her choice and give her freedom but some of her jewellery especially earrings are just so out of place at some point. Like the ones she wore for the longest time while Aai was in hospital and the whole d house scene and finding out truth of Mandhar etc. And then when they meet during the toilet scene, those earrings were so out of place and heavy. Almost looked like her ear lobe would fall off.

I just feel like being a jeweller’s wife, she could atleast wear some classy pieces, small to medium size and she doesnt have any diamonds considering Raghav deals with diamonds a lot. Also other than the MS around her neck and a tiny chain and pendant we never see necklaces on her unless its an occasion. And same kangan literally every day which is fine for an average woman but she should have a few being that she is wife of RR.

Ok this was just my opinion. Please feel free to disagree or agree. I would like to hear your thoughts.

Also does anyone know what the other chain is that she wears with her MangalSutr? It’s always tucked in so i dont see what it is. Any significance of that chain?

that chain is shivaji’s locket.. she wears from day one …check out earlier episodes.. you will get to know..

You're talking about her jewelry? For someone who used to run a saree shop and designs sarees, the sarees they've made her wear are mostly terrible. Lately she's been wearing net and chiffon materials but even there, the sarees are meh.

On the whole the costuming in this show is one of the worst I've seen. They don't have a sense of a decent color palette. Aside from Amma and sometimes Amruta, everyone else's outfits are an eyesore. Even Raghav has hits and misses with some of the color combinations, considering he's a business tycoon, which is at odds with the fit of his clothes sometimes.

I was going to touch on saris too but figured leave this as a jewellery post. Yes her saris are just awful at times. And what’s with all the pink. My goodness ive never seen someone wear so much pink and continuously. Then all of a sudden as per bts, go back to those old saris. I just don’t get it. Keerti’s dressing sense is also off. I mean looking at the four of them, you would never be able to tell that they are from a rich family. The purple sari was not something i would have chosen to wear that day. I believe that material is chiffon or something but it looked cheap and you’re right for a saree designer, shouldn’t she wear some of her good stuff to advertise as well. Her sarees are just run of the mill nothing special.

Yes raghav’s suit combos are off sometimes especially the brown, that colour as well as any lighter grey or tan colour just looks off on him. Then they might lighter blue pants and a dark blue shirt and then the vest is a different shade and it just makes it look mishmash. So yeah i do notice that. In the earlier episodes, his suits were good.

The designer needs to revamp their styles a bit

Yes! to both a change of Pallu's sarees and jewelry is required. I think Sargun's sarees in Yeh hai chahatein are beautiful and Pallu should wear such sarees and jewelry.

Its amazing that these two are so good looking and act so well that when they do get good clothes to wear like on some of the days of events and festivals, they knock it out of the park.

I am thinking this shooting in kolhapur, mediocre costume designing and jewelry dept. the mediocre clothes etc are all a way for sicku's team to save money.😔

Yeah I agree. They are both naturally good looking and require minimal makeup. And Shivangi’s hair is beautiful. She doesnt need fake hair or extensions. Her makeup sometimes is a bit heavy but oh well that’s expected. When she wears light makeup some days, her eyes show up more and she looks beautiful.

Her saris definitely need a revamp. I mean seriously. I would have thought after the I love you we would have seen some more changes in her clothing style. Cap sleeve blouses or sleeveless etc. But same saris and same gaudy colours and the pinks my God. And large gaudy jewellery. She carries it well, dont get me wrong because she is naturally beautiful so they look good but i wish she wore some of those pretty designer saris.

But you mught be right. It could be budgeting. That is why when fans asked for Pallavi in black sari, he was like what, why…acha ok done🤣 Then they got her one and gave us a short scene with it. Lol.

Also as a jewellery designer wouldnt Raghav look at her jewellery and suggest somethings. It would just be his nature as he is used to classic, designer jewellery and no matter what people say but if you’re a dress designer or a jewellery designer and u see someone either a friend, loved one, sibling etc you would very likely say why are u wearing that jewellery or something along those lines. Also is all this jewellery real? And if so then is it from Jayati jewels? And if its fake then how would raghav let her wear fake stuff? I remember once they were discussing engagement ring for keerti and pallavi mentioned a rival jewellery brand and Raghav was upset and pallavi is like oh their stuff is really good and finishing as well etc. So she knows about that but ive never seen her look at jayati jewels or wear any of their pieces. Maybe im wrong. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Well, it might be that Raghav doesn't want to impose his style or ideas on her. If that's a conscious decision by the writers, then it's fine.

As for budget issues, I understand that there are limitations but that shouldn't interfere with good taste. It's not so much the materials of her sarees but the color combos that are eyesores. I've seen many low-budget shows where the costuming was simple but tasteful.

On the flip side, I've seen some shows with huge budgets where the costuming was terrible too despite everyone being rich on the show and living in grand mansions. So it's all a matter of the designer's taste.

Look at Geeta ji's saris. I have yet to see one that was gaudy. She wears simple sarees, and some pretty ones, but nothing that is painful to see. I wonder if it's because she has creative input.

On the other hand the sarees that Ayi and BWA wear are 99% of the time unbearable to look at.

When the actors themselves give inputs and dress with their eprsonal choice clothes, it ends up looking much better. Like the recent jacket raghav wore and also todays Pallu's modern dress. Also when the makeup team really take an effort the effort shows. Like the vat savitri day and the black dress day. But those makeup artists are probably different people than daily episode walas.

I just love Sargun's sarees and even Erica's sarees in kuch rang. They bring so much of their personal input into it. Hope the actors once they get more comfortable with daily soap can actually start improvising more in costumes. and jewelry.

Yes you are right Amma's clothes are so good. Very respectable. So are Amrutha's clothes, though some of them are little questionable.

I have never seen an Indian show with good clothes. Only KRPKAB. I loved Erica’s clothes initially. It’s what a modern working girl would wear. Her jewelry was also very pretty.

Poor shivangi has always been stuck in mostly lousy saris. Everybody rich or poor dress up so loud it’s jarring on the eye. Only amma has sober saris.
