Shiri could be so interesting. And this is them as characters and how theyve been portrayed, not a weird in law cheating family trash. Nope🤮.

My last two braincells:

Braincell 1: you know shivi aren't really the wall to the back scene, because they've written raavi as the classic "choddo, koi dekhlega", kya Kar Raha scene . You know who would not only ace the back to wall , but up the stakes ? Rishi..

Braincell 2: Nooooo omegod stop it . Stop sabotaging me like this. Stop Stop Stop.

I think , this is partly cause of the sloppy screen writing for raavi and dev. No insult meant to the actress she does a great job with what's been handed to her .

I can't get into this raavi's head space at all. Her redeeming trait is her beauty ?? She just seems very vapid sometimes, and like a cheap rip off off geet from jab we met. There are just no layers to her.

Where are her hangup about being abandoned because she lost her parents as her child ?

What are things she believes in ? Loves ? Will fight for ? Hates?

All I have a picture of ,is a pretty girl who lots of boys had a crush on . Is a conformist.

I get they were maybe going for a sexy banter that builds frustration, heated fights leading to heated looks dynamic for shiVi , but that's not what's come through at all. It makes me think of ahem other couple this would've worked all too well on .

Dev is just a coward . Image in my head : dumb pretty boy of college /jock. Not even that, an extra in a movie. Period

The girl had to risk it for him, and still hasn't processed in his dumb brain. Rishita has every reason to question if he loves her anymore , because she's the one doing the heavy lifting here and risking all.

Rishita and Shiva on the other hand have been written mostly well , is almost like there were a different set of writers for them.

Both of them have layers upon layers . Guilt , that she trapped dev into marrying her. Guilt that he's trapped raavi into something she doesn't want , and anxiety that it was societal pressures that convinced their partners to choose them ,and not an individual choice.

Anger /insecurities /uncertainty : Rishita angry that she has to compromise all the time , loves how the pandyas are so close knit, angry how they still treat her like an outsider. Uncertain where she belongs or what to do, upset that they seem to include raavi in a way they don't with her .

Plus, she loves Dev the person (snorts, god knows what she saw in him) . No other man would've been acceptable, she risked societal disapproval, gave up a whole world she's known for him . And what does she get in return? Half assed depictions of love and blame from the very man she did this for.

Rishita's not perfect . But like dhara said , galat baatein don't make a galat person. Something they convienently ignore when it comes to rishita .

Also TW:// ( mentions of suicidal thoughts)

Given all of this , the confusion, guilt ,uncertainty , anxiety and anger she makes a prime candidate for suicide attempts or at least thoughts .

Shiva is so like rishita. A Volatile ,brewing mixture of anger, guilt ,confusion and insecurities. Angry about his feelings for raavi, angry that he feels uncomfortable in his own skin now (at himself and raavi) I think they've also done this with rishita , made her self conscious of herself in a way she wasn't before. Insecure because it's like Ravvi chose him as husband ™️, any male - to salvage her reputation first . Second , because he was Pandya . A part of the family she's always longed to be a part of . That there's no place for just him - just plain Shiva ,in her life or heart.

That she has no interest in knowing him, as a person one on one . Not to mention the agony of knowing her ideal type seems to be your brother . In many ways the opposite of you.

I mean imagine living with looking at your partners kinda ex day in and out. Ouch . This for both shiva and Rishita. To make it worse the family seems to constantly alienate them , make them the target of blame and anger , protecting Dev and Raavi for the most part.

Additionally, which is weird as hell. None of the pandyas seem to have support systems outside the house (friends , other shop owner friends , neighbor friends hell even other distant cousins even) . This was straight up weird.

And like so many of us have mentioned: why do the elders in the family take it when the others taunt shiva for not being college educated ? They should have shut that down immediately. The unpad unpad remarks must feel like salt on wounds .

Why didn't they encourage him to look an alternate education? Or show him as being the street smart sharp guy, who has his hand on the pulse of the market , who is king at negotiating deals from wholesalers . Is a local legend of sorts? But noooooooo.

OK. Before I shut up and stop writing an entire paper here imma just get this out.

Shiva and Rishita's theme song /bgm would be all of You by John Legend . Sure ,perfect for them as shivrish the couple, but who they are as people and what they want of life and love .

Thank you for tagging! I agree with your analysis of the characters.. Raavi is extremely shallow at this point with nothing going for her character wise except "Somnath ki sabse khoobsurat ladki" 😆

This is why though shiva's actions are questionable and he is trolled as being a bahu and all, I can't blame him for pushing Raavi away! 🤷 Like you said, she just wants him a husband from a place of convenience, with no interest in who or what he is as a person

Shiva and rishita are so similar to each other as such complex, layered characters that I would love their dynamic to be explored more! Unfortunately both of them have been getting the short shrift from their families in different ways 🤪

I have no interest in dev so I won't speak about him 🤣

@bold, Honestly, yes! I like traits of Rishita (her confidence, bold nature, and her warm, encompassing love for who she calls family), but I think other traits would annoy Shiva to no level (the fact that she would make him sandwiches 😂, her complaining attitude, how she can be fierce when she doesn't get her way). On that side, I think Shiva needs someone as caring and sweet as Raavi. If Shiva blew up on Rishita like this, I think eventually, she would leave the relationship. It's probably what attracted her to Dev. Because no matter how hard they thought, he would come back to coddle and sweet talk her. If anything, I wish Raavi became more bold and Dev had some more personality 🤣

But, Piu, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, would love to see a bromance (or maybe some kind of weird, dubious friendship that just screams them) between them! I can already envision an AU world where Rishita decides to set up her own company and having Shiva be her secretary since he just gets her. They both could be giving each other late-night drunk talks.

"Shiva, I thought I told you! Girls like confidence!" she slapped Shiva's back as she took another swing of her drink.

Shiva looked on disgusted as he moved the bottle away from his boss, "The same could go for you." Though it pained him to know Rishita loved his brother, he knew he couldn't do anything about it. What Rishita wants, she gets. And even if he tried stopping her from becoming his bhabi, she would've wormed her way into his family some other way.

"What! No! What are you talking about, I can't just confess to Dev like that! He needs to confess to me!" Rishita seemed absolutely appalled.

"And why can't you?" Shiva grit his teeth. "It's the 21st Century! Why do boys have to do all the work?"

Rishita glared at him, "Why are you talking back to me?"

"Because it's nine o'clock, boss," Shiva sneered. "My workday is finished." He stood up, unwilling to want to speak to his insufferable "boss" any longer.

Reaching into her wallet, Rishita pulled out a wad of cash, "I'll pay you overtime. Now be a good secretary and listen to my advice! If you're happy, which is a mountainous task already, then I will be happy!" Shiva raised his brow and Rishita glared at him, "Don't think I haven't noticed how you purposely ruin every chance I have with your brother! You're lucky your brother is Dev or I would've fired you a long time ago!"

Only Shiva and Rishita can insult each other and get away with it 🤣 I swear is Raavi or Dev ever insulted them, they wouldn't be able to get away from ShiRish's fury 🤣

Avi stop it! This is ❤️

Please keep writing small pieces on them when you can 🤗

Why does the family koff even dhara keep saying Pati patni rishta.

Those are abstract things.

First: hold up y'all never stepped up when they needed help. Now you poking your nose and offering advice . Why ?

Raavi is loosing shiva. The guy she's been interacting with constantly on some level or the other , forever.

This divorce going to leave a very specific shiva sized hole in her life , not husband sized alone.

Plus instead of itna Kiya it a Kiya dialogue which hella repetitive, why not show us a chotu montages of the things she's done we've not seen or something.

Forced apologies never stick. Besides ya dumb shits, none of you are getting to the root of the problem. As long as you just bury the problem, it'll keep showing up again and again .

Do you thinking locking them into a room together would help at all? Or are we past that point ?

Completely agree- the family are idiots 😔

So the Raavi "itna kiya" things- I have thought a lot about it. I think it refers to the fact that she overcome her anger and started taking up her responsibilities at home with a smile. Do I completely agree with them 😕 Not really- She should have shown her anger at the correct people like Dev or Rishitha, but that is a totally different topic. I'll give her that- she fount her peace with the family despite facing a huge blow from them few months ago. And I think her telling Shiva that she wants to move on and asking him what he wants in a wife also is enough for a lot of people to say tbag she is trying.

And I feel, yes, she started trying, but her beliefs and her attitude about Shiva showed in very subtle ways. Ultimately, Shiva is just about ok in her books- I can't say for sure, but had Sneha kaand not happened, Raavi might have found more appealing things in Shiva 🤷‍♀️ But for now, I have not seen anything to tell me that Raavi thinks highly of Shiva or respects him. There were token scenes of her standing up to Rishitha and Sneha, but I wish they would have her think or say cleary that she specifically respects him. Not just "Shut up". Because when Rishitha says "Why are you getting angry, does the truth hurt?", Raavi conveniently shuts up Had she said "Just because Shiva speaks his mind in a gruff tone, does not make him Jaahil or Junglee. He is speaking in anger, where anyone can slip up, educated or not", it would have given Shiva the message she is actually on his side.

All she says is "How dare you say such things?" or just "shut up". The only inference I could make is that Raavi somewhere agress with the notion- she has been brought up with those ideas- first set by Maami and later reinforced by her friends. She feels ashamed that such things are brought up because she is now in a relationship with him. But had she not be married to him, would she have really stood up for him? I am not convinced she would have 😕

And that is Shiva's dilemma. Of course he does not want to let her go, he likes her. But on the other hand, if he gives in and invests himself further with the relationship- he is probably setting himself up for heartbreak. It is clear that in isolated environments, that they are fine- Raavi will be good to him. I'll keep aside the whole teasing and Dev bits aside for now. But when they interact with the real world, her discomfort springs out. Sorry, personally, the Surat-Sirat dialogue does not cut it for me.

The unintended comparison will seep into their lives- because despite what Raavi says, the differences do matter to Raavi. I don't remember seeing Raavi proud of Shiva for anything. I have seen softness and love for the family, but not pride (correct me if I am wrong) Shiva is something to be hodden away from the world to see- not proudly displayed by her side.

Shiva, for all his idiocy and lunacy, is right 😐 Wih ghut ghut ke rahegi, and he being the observant partner, would see her regret and her helplessness, and will suffer silently along with her. The family will happily move on and be in their lala land. And just imagine a child in this mix They will be setting up another generation with deep rooted issues 🙄

I firmly disagree with people who think Shiva is jealous and is expecting Raavi to love him back. Shiva has never been that clueless. I feel his "Mein Raavi ke layak nahin hoon" has more to do with her respecting him tahn loving him. I do not see respect for Shiva in any of Raavi's expressions or actions 🤷‍♀️

The family forcing a sorry will just be a band-aid fix. Without trust and respect(let's leave out love for now), shiVi are doomed to a life of unhappiness. Which is what Shiva is fighting against for Raavi's sake. Raavi really doesnot trust or respect him 😕 Shiva, I am not sure- I think he also does not trust and respect her 🤔

Thank you for letting me rant 😃 I do not really want to post on the EDT because it just leads to loopy conversations where both parties don't budge 🤣

Raavi bashing ⚠️

This track solely focusing on Shiva's wrongdoings lol so raavi is getting a free pass again. This woman goes around name calling him and ends up doing just the same but yes baby, shiva is the junglee. I'll never let go of the slap even if makers do which they're actually doing rn. Like imagine if the roles were reversed and shiva slaps raavi for questioning his character people will protest. But since shiva is a junglee he totally deserves it lol And the way she can't own up her mistakes 🤔

she slapped shiva because he was wrong and suddenly it becomes he made me do it bs like what was that ? But apparently raavi can't never be wrong else she will give us another dose of fake woke self respect bs but ready to run back to shiva with just a single sorry.

Today too I found her actions extreme, shiva holds the driver collar and she will call the cops on him ? 🥴 And everybody only have problems with Shiva's aggressiveness but this woman is mean af. I'd probably be the happiest person if raavi actually minds her very own business and stop interfering in Shiva's life. I so wish shiva fall out of love/like phase with raavi but things don't like this happens in itv 💔☹️

This week episodes seems like they will focus more on shiva's redemption than raavi's🤔i never disliked a fictional character so much like I do with raavi. 10/10 the most annoying character in ps for me. I saw people asking for raavi's accident yes please and send her into coma for my sanity.

Sorry if the rant is too long 🤍🤍🌸🌸

My worst fear during the verbal vomit shivi had in the middle of the street was what if this leads to one side redemption ? And that's what happening which is truly disheartening. Cvs are doing a poor job here if they make shiva grovel infront of the great raavi 🥴 idk if this track will solve mu btw shivi but this track completely ruined raavi for me.

Hoping against the hope for some raavi redemption else ps is just Shiva's story where his life got ruined after marriage to me. Idk tho shiva is literally the main lead I still don't know how they will blame the entire thing on shiva when even a blind person can tell raavi had her fair share of bs too.

Honestly raavi is such a poorly written character that even in her emo moments I can't connect with this girl. She's superficial and shallow too I guess all the more reasons to dislike her😆

Agree with you.. this is so true! Raavi has no respect for Shiva, evident in the way she shuts up others who talk bad about him. It has always given me the vibe that "he is my husband, insulting him = insulting me, hence I should shut them up." Which is fine, since she is thinking about her respect in other's eyes, but where is the respect that Shiva deserves?

Which is why I think Shiva has made the right choice and right decision to push her away from him. Of course, some of his actions are questionable, he could have gone about doing this in a better way, but the end outcome was much needed! (I blame the makers' drama and TRP fetish for this. They could have made Shiva react like Kathir in such a situation and it wouldn't be out of character, but... 🤪)

@bold: this is the purpose of a frustration thread, so I'm glad it's serving it's purpose! People who try to understand Shiva are in the minority after all 😆

Many of us are hoping that a two sided redemption will come at some point, but for now it looks like the redemption and realization of mistakes is all one sided. She has not acknowledged a single mistake she has made so far 😕

Somehow the track has become all about Raavi's self respect (what a warped understanding of self-respect she has, according to these makers 🤪)

I did not like her slapping Shiva either, precisely for the reason you mentioned. If she thought Shiva maligned her character, she should have maligned his. He stuck to words, so she should have too. Slapping was uncalled for

But the makers want drama, so nothing can be done 🤪😆
