What did I miss? Is it a new interview? Are Parakshita trolling our shipper hearts again?

Waste of time. Tell her to fast forward where possible especially kamble’s and phirangi madam segment. I watched a bit of beginning - 15 August Independence Day segment. Tear jerker. Then in the evening for 10-15 minutes,

Who was your mum’s favourite in the show? Mine was arunita, then Pawandeep

@Bold: Ab inhe kaun samjhaye😆

I legit asked her now after reading your reply, she said her favourite was Pawandeep and that he's called a one man army or something?

Is phirangi Madam Shamu-something something (naam bhool gayi😆) my mum said she didn't like her much.

When talking of Shamu, I asked the girl's name and she couldn't recall it for a few minutes. She's like voh ab gaye yaad rakhne mein kya faaida?

God! I wish I was like her😆

Someone has mentioned about the new show of Colors TV - 'Nima Denzongpa'.

It is show based on Sikkim , and me being from Assam doesn't know much about their culture.

But I have seen a video where one girl from Sikkim says that -

The surname 'Denzongpa' used is from Bhutia community but the attire the actors are shown wearing is Nepali attire.

The cultures of both Bhutia and Nepali communities both live in Sikkim but their cultures are very different but the promo showed mixing both.

And she also said that as the actress is from Assam, where again we have totally different cultures and way of living, she does not know the correct pronunciations and even pronounces her own surname 'Denzongpa' wrong.

From watching the video I realised they didn't even do some basic research too.

But isn't that playing around with the different cultures and all? I would be offended, I mean.

Yes, that is why that girl was hurt and she posted the video.

She also told there are so many good actors from Sikkim from where they could have chosen and they instead choose a girl from different state.

Is it just me, or is anyone else waiting for a funny comment from Raj or Karthik?

I think the same thing happened when PC played Mary Kom. I think, there is nothing wrong in casting some actor from a different background that they portray - after all they are just actors. Many actors / actresses play role of different communities from what they belong..I don't see anything wrong here. There are considerations over casting a lead on tv shows as at the end of the day its all business. They should get the pronunciations right though.

The attire - happens with other cultures shown on TV shows too. How many Gujrati women dress up like Saath Nibhana Saathiya in reality. I remember once they showed Karvachauth in Ekta's Kayamth in a Gujrati family.. matlab kuch bhi 😆

I haven't seen the show but it isn't cultural appropriation every time.
