Karam Apnaa Apnaa Resemblance…

Hey 👋 guys,

So I had briefly mentioned earlier in another post that the storyline seems to be inspired from a variety of other Ekta’s shows from the past. I can be totally wrong here but just the wedding promo and the way Rishi nods to his parents while getting married, it’s almost as if they all are a part of some larger than life plan here.

I found this old promo of Karam Apnaa Apnaa so thought to share it here. Just to give an idea of how the lead there had an ulterior motive in marrying the girl too. Hope you guys enjoy it 😊

One difference though existed here. In KAA, the lead was an upright yet honest protagonist and he really did not want to marry the girl but his mother coerced him into marrying her so that his “dosh” can get eliminated and he can then marry his childhood sweetheart. He still had a conscious though.. but here, Rishi appears to be super sweet and appears to like Lakshmi and is happy marrying her. But of course, there’s more than what meets the eye here… just waiting for things to unfold..

It's like Kekta ke shows are just sooo predictable!! And this makes me happy!

You are right this show is a remake of this but with some change to it. and I'm LOVING it. Cant wait for the twists and turns. Feel bad for our lakshmi tho, gotta by by her side. Hopefully there's no negative reactions to this twist. Because I love it, can't wait, what about you guys

In karam even the truth got revealed Gauri did not care as she was in love with shiv.

I've never seen that serial so this is new for me. But I dont think lalshmi will be happy she will feel betrayed as stated by the plot. Gosh they are playing her big time. But let's wait and watch.

KAA.. initial few months was hit due to Iqbal Khan's role as Shiv. ❤️

Even after coming to know the truth, Gauri didn't leave Shiv as she had fallen in love with him.. 😕

Once Iqbal quit the show, I dumped it.. 😆

Rishi is grey character for sure. Ekta ka show ho aur male lead itna seedha ho not possible.

I am looking forward to seeing what kind of concoction is spewed in this Ekta show. I honestly feel like nothing innovative will be presented to us and the same old storylines will be presented in a different way but let’s see how the ensemble of actors do justice to this one. I am also excited to see Smita (Rishi’s mom) pull a negative / grey role. She’s one excellent actor (basing it on her Balika Vadhu stint in the past) 🙂.

I agree...! I have not watched Ekta's shows in the last few years... But this show has picked up pace unlike any other drama I have seen...

So I am really curious how are they going to take this forward... And enjoy it till it meets the fate and predicatbility of other ITV dramas 😆

First 40-50 episodes are usually worth watching in today's ITV dramas 🤔
