KHUMBKARAN COUPLE
Hi this is my first time writing an emotional OS. Hope you all like it!
Dead.
A lone tear escaped the confines of her eyes tracing a scorching wet path down the line of her cold skin settling itself on her ear.
The cool breeze wishpered against her skin the moonlit room giving her a semblance of sanity as she drowned in the misery of her dark thoughts trying to ignore the literal creepy forms the night painted on her wall. The comfort of her bed doing nothing to stop the tremble of her body.
Her tears clouded her vision baring her from the sight of the ceiling she had been staring from past two hours. The sound of the wind getting diminished by the thundering of her heart. The hand on her stomach reminding of the taking in and releasing of her constant breath.
As her will stopped another tear from leaving her eyes , the emptiness of her life reveled as for the first time she noticed the shades of black white and grey dancing on her ceiling. Everything was still.... eerie still except for her brain tormenting her senses and heart with the chaos of his memory.
"SHIVA"
Her soul wishpered what her parched mouth couldn't. It had been two days since the humiliating showdown the entire Somnath witnessed. The confrontation draining her very spirit .She had been spent.... done physically mentally emotionally. Her every molecule just wishing to succumb to the intense emotions and just fall to the ground defeated . Beg Somnath ji to wake her up from the nightmare her life had become since both were forced into this joke of a marriage.
The moments a cinematic slide as she went through every torturous emotion again. The betrayal form her childhood naivety, the pain and shock, the marriage , the anger and hurt, the constant verbal abuse, the physical manhandling. She wanted to hold onto these and hate him.
Her hand clutched the bedsheet tight as yet again the sweetness of his smile and the happy memories sweeped in scathing her very being . If she had thought being heartbroken and lost was what she felt when her childhood crush broke her dream it was nothing compared to the feelings wounding her now. It was cold..... bone chilling cold and she just wanted it to end and go to a deep slumber.
A sudden noise alerted her as her eyes fluttered open. The bedside vase. It had created a cluttering sound. She turned her gaze her exhaustion ignoring to pick it up. But yet again she was tormented by his face. Typical Shiva in the same outfit Jean vest and shirt. His shaggy hair and two days of beard mixed with bloodshed eyes and raging anger. She wanted this to end... the cycles of pain. The sudden mounting of anger as she curled her hands on the vase and threw it at the imagination which swiftly ducked saving itself.
How dare He!!!!
After giving her such pain He had nothing to do here showing his anger !!!
As the volcanic rage erupted she kneeled on her bed and hurled every single thing beside her at that imagination wishing it to evaporate .Her laboured breathing doing nothing to stop her.
She felt two hand effectively stop her advances as she struggled to get rid of this insanity. The sudden imbalance making them both tumble on her bed. Her body being enveloped by the sudden warmth of his body and just like that she again stared at the ceiling cursing herself for entering the cycle again.
Why this nothingness?
She let out a bitter laugh as she watched his crowding body trying to untangle her tangled mangalsutra to his trishul pendant. Hell ! Their life had been entangled in a mess.
As she took in the sight of his confused and concerned eyes and the smell of his ever present tel masala. She found her hand subconsciously finding it's way to his shirt making him stiffen. Tears filling her eyes as She nuzzled his neck filling her senses with his presence.A sob threatened to break.
Oh! How she missed the very smell she once hated.
No she wasn't going to lose anymore tears on this imagination Shiva. She closed her eyes hoping Lord will show mercy on her and forgive her for slipping in this moment of sanity craving his comfort when he had been the source of her pain. For just letting her sleep.
Yet no such mercy was showed as she felt her shoulder being soothed by a damp feeling. One drop then two and then she realised it wasn't imagination. He was here and very much in tears. As she lifted his face to gaze at the crestfallen handsomeness Her own dam broke. An ugly cry wretched her soul as she cried out like never before. She allowed herself to jump into this emotion losing every fibre of herself. But this time she wasn't alone she felt two strong arms surround her delicate body and his forehead touch hers as she cried like never before. Her entire body taking in its repercussions. Her wailing a noisy disturbance in a peaceful night.
She wound her arms around his neck holding onto her dear life. She allowed herself this moment of insanity.
"Kyun kara hai tu Aisa Shiva.... Kyun itna dard dekar marham lagane aa jata hai..."
"Jab Sab Khatam ho chuka hai toh kyun wapas aaya hai"
Her hoarse voice venting out all her anger and frustration.
"Tujhe pata bhi hai meine teri iss tel masala ki khooshbu ko kitna miss kiya"
her tiny wishper with sob filled the space between them scared of his outrage.
But another shock tore her being as she felt his breakdown his tears venting out his own anger frustration guilt.
Her eyes widened as she took in his sight in the sliver of light.
He looked tired and defeated. Her strong Shiva. She had never seen him like this. Her hands went to comfort him by it's own violation. And just like that she again found herself gazing at the ceiling eyes clouding feeling her own guilt consuming her as she heard him pour out his own insecurities fears and apologies. Her ears taking in his harsh jagged breathing as she looked at the sensitive soul trying to convey what he felt.
Had her mere teasing lead to this deep pain and insecurity. Was He also a victim just like her. Had she also hurt him... way too deep than she realised. As her trembling hand caressed his curl her heart took shame of her own misdoings.
She wanted to victimize herself and yet here he was blaming himself for what she did wrong wanting her to let him go so that she finds someone better. She faced the harsh truth that both had been equally responsible for coming till this point. But she wasn't going to back down from his self disrespect.
"Ek number ka Gadhera hai tu... Kisne tujhe ye choice di ki tu yeh soche mujhe koi better mil jayega. Tu woh Shiva hai... jisne DUKAN ka har kam kiya... mehnat ki... Padhai nahi ki toh kya English nahi aati toh kya.... use yeh nahi badal jata ki tu hamesha ek ACHA beta bhai devar hai.... "
"Tu jaisa hai best hai... Mein kabhi tujhe hurt nahi karna chahti thi... Galti meri thi jo meine tere liye stand nahi kiya. " she heard herself say as her voice pendulumed between loud scream and small whispers.
"I am Sorry Shiva"
"I am sorry Raavi"
Bared... completely naked was what both felt as they let out every toxicity giving the relation a chance for healthy growth.
A deep sense of gratitude filled her as she cried for understanding the importance of communication and self reflection.
Her nose now adorning a deep red the same colour his eyes did. She didnt know how long both held onto each other crying and basking in each other's warmth and comfort slowly coming out of the nothingness to feel whole. Craving each other the very source of pleasure and pain. The very reason for each other's insanity and yet very reason that kept them sane.
As the tears drained out ,both stared at each other. Raavi felt herself closing the negligible gap between them as she kept her head upon his arm her fingers caressing his beard. She giggled as he pecked her tomato nose his hands caressing her hair filling her with a sense of peace and tingling sensations. It was a new beginning they didn't want to mess up.
She sighed as she saw the tangled mangalsutra and trishul.
Guess they are tangled for eternity.
Which brought her back to the question
"Waise tu yahan itne gusse main kyun aaya tha?" Taken aback by the sudden flare in his nose.
" Ae chipkali mujhe pata chala ki tu do din se khana nahi khayi!"
"Abey O Bhoothnath jaise tu do din se those jaa raha tha..."
They glared at each other only to enter into a fit of laughter as they promised to have a feast after sunrise. The sudden giggle turned into shock as both realised how close their lips were to each other.
Raavi closed her eyes as she felt his lips on her sighing into the kiss as the slow exploration turned a bit heated the softness of his lips caressed and sucking her own, his tongue soothing it while his rough beard sent shock waves down her core as it scratched her chin. She had never felt such sensations and wanted to drown in them only to be disappointed by a chuckling Chattan Pandya who wanted to take things slow.
She smirked thinking of various ways to seduce him the very next day. We will see how long you will take things slow was her last thought before diving into a deep peaceful happy sleep.
The entire Pandya house grew agitated as they couldn't find Shiva. Scared he might have hurt himself they tried to search for him but he was nowhere to be found. Krish even searched every Tree in Somnath. Who knew on which tree he would have decided to satiate his chimpanzee impulses after treating his BHABHI so poorly. Left with no choice they went to mamis house to ask Raavi for Shivas whereabouts.
Elsewhere mami grew tensed as Raavi didnt come down past noon. She was about to go to her room when the sound of bell distracted her. Well she was not happy with the guests but they barged in asking for Raavi. Will they ever let her phool si bachi breathe.
Before they could argue even more the sound of shocked anita scream tore through the walls. They rushed to the sound only to find the kumbkaran couple sleeping in each others arms with the floor filled with vase broken pieces and scattered random stuff.
"Hamari neend KHARAB karke khud aaraam se so rahe hain" Krish's grumpy one liner was the only sound that echoed in the room as they all looked at the smile that adorned the sleepy faces.
