I find North Indian food quite bland and devoid of flavours, actually. Unless you're speaking of kadhi chawal and Punjabi stuff. Pumping in 200000000 masalas does not make food 'rich'.

I dislike South India idli-sambhar too. Masala dosa is tolerable, but putting sambhar is everything is off-putting.
