There are 18 holes and 4 rounds to be played...which means total 72 holes. One has to hit in the hole with fewest shots. Also, every holes has the number of shots allowed depending on difficulty. If player takes more shots then allowed then it's over par...less then under par.

These are some rules in short. If she lost by one shot then that's really disappointing. Though having Indian representation in a predominantly white game is commendable in itself as you said.

I too dont understand this sport but was rooting for her... But well played Aditi Ashok
