Vivaah a version of pride and prejudice??

I think the story line is of jane austen's pride and prejudice...

any thoughts?

The story pretty much seems to be the same. There was a show on Doordarshan named Trishna long ago probably in 1979-80. It was completely based on pride & Prejudice.

This show seems to be the same except that in the novel, the oldest daughter is shown to be very pretty and second one ok looking. It does not seem to be the case here.

Trishna resembles Lizzy and Sujata seems to be like Jane - only here we have a secret in the loop🤔....Also there's similarities between the frivolous Mrs. Bennet and Kulraj....But hey, it's one of my favourite novels so I hope they don't rely to heavily on it and if they do - they do not mess it up!😕

pride and prejudice is lovely story
if they r moving on that track its fine but i dont think they will leave it as simple...they have to add masala fr it to become popular

I know... i love pride and prejudice absolutely... get very irritated at versions that distort my Lizzie and Darcy story 😊
And Sangeeta, I've heard of Trishna but was too young when it aired. Was it a good adaptation?
