All three are iconic movies.

Among these which is the best movie in the romance genre in your opinion?

Speaking strictly in terms of the romance,

DDLJ > HAHK >>>>> MEA

Jodhaa Akbar, Bobby and HDDCS are better than these.

Mughal e Azam without a doubt. It was believable and intense. And Madhubala <33.

DDLJ was entertaining because of the anticipation. Amrish Puris character pulled the film forward. You kept thinking there'd be a big blow out when he comes to know. That his face will go crazy on itself and start breaking from within. That he'd start throwing things or threaten to kill someone. It's like the cheap thrill you get from watching a 'Karen' on YouTube or watching Big Boss. Lol. Otherwise the romance in DDLJ wasn't that interesting. I'm sure Simran and Raj got fed up of each other in a year . Ideal for two people who were teens mentally.

Loved Salman's dreamy eyes in Hum Aapke. But the story was errr. Took the saali is aadhi gharwali thing to a literal level which was kinda disturbing .

Mughal-E-Azam was romantic??

I prefer Veer-Zaara, Fanaa and Tamasha

Everyone in the movie aware of the romance pretty early and the lovers fought for their love openly and as defiantly as the time period allowed them to do so.

The chemistry is good and the acting is magnificent from the major characters especially from Akbar.

MEA was more action adventure with all the battles

HAHK was more family oriented.

Also Tamasha was garbage 😆
