Let's cut Pallavi some slack

Disclaimer - I am not here to take sides with Raghav or Pallavi in this post. I'm just trying to sum up what I see as the current state of the story.

----------------------

I wish people would cut Pallavi some slack.

Let her process things, it's all new for her. She's dealing with the ghosts of her past, now literally in the flesh. She once wondered what life might have been like had she married Mandaar but now her circumstances have changed and she's emotionally bound to Raghav forever. Seeing Mandaar back is making her feel like her past is dragging her back. She was barely married to Mandar for a few hours I guess, so since her wedding night she'd largely been like a single woman living with the Ds, more their beti than bahu. Now the fact that she's being referred to as Mandar's wife, implying she's their bahu, makes her feel awkward because she never really took that role on in her 2 years there.

She has only truly been a wife to Raghav and a bahu at the Raos now gradually and as she said legal documents or a piece of paper do not build a relationship. The experiences she's had with Raghav and the rest of the Raos has helped her grow as a person and see other facets of life, beyond just breaking free of the D-fam prison. However, that has happened more in a physical sense. Psychologically she has managed to remove some of her shackles but I believe through this track she's going to feel empowered to remove the remaining ones when everyone's true colors are seen. No matter how much Raghav may protect her or defend her, at some point she has to speak up for herself. As she did in the past, she will this time too but only when she's had time to figure out what exactly she wants to do next.

On top of that, the number of villains in her life has increased with Mansi and Keerti wishing her ill at every step. Amma's still supporting her and I hope this continues forever, but the fact is that the only one who can really stand with her is Raghav, since this new development has the potential to destroy his life as much as hers. Their relationship is/will be going through a trial by fire and only then will a stronger bond be forged. I think they started off on the right foot with trying to present a united front and work towards the same goal but Mandaar's real plan is still a mystery so we'll have to brace ourselves for some unexpected situations as will Raghav and Pallavi. They may not know how to respond or may not always make the right decisions, but as long as they are on the same page about supporting each other and defeating their enemies together, things will work out eventually.

The writers always draw parallels. If the previous track was about Raghav's past hurting his present, this one is about hers. Ultimately they will both be affected because their fates are intertwined. They say spouses complete one another/complement one another in areas where the other person may not be as strong. This is what I expect this track to explore. The best part is that they are talking about things upfront more and sharing their concerns right away rather than letting it fester. I really like seeing this on a show for a change instead of letting things drag and misunderstandings pile up. They've had their share of it and learned the hard way that being open with each other is the best way to protect their relationship and show respect to one another's feelings. So let the writers craft this tale the way they intended and see where it takes us. So far Raghav and Pallavi have been acting true to their characters for the most part. I don't see a deviation there, give or take some scenes that have gone off on a tangent, but that is to be expected to some degree on ITV so I let it go.

True Jean!

It's easy to ask why she didn't open her mouth and tell the D-circus including Mandaar then and there what she feels about all this when they called her to D-house. I was also frustrated a bit at her behaviour.

But she will take her time to see the true faces of everyone and go to that extent where she'll be more intensely telling them what she wants and where she stands.

And once and for all, I want this chapter to be closed. I don't care if they redeem the members of the D-fam like Baba and Manasi at this point.

Actually, if this Mandhar Raja guy is really Mandhar then Pallavi and Raghav marriage is not even legal. Also, how does one solve that problem? Will she ask for an annulment since they never sleep together, or will they have to get a divorce? I bet Mandhar will never let Pallavi go and will use this to blackmail both Raghav and Pallavi.

Raghav responded to this legal question succinctly in today's episode already.

I guess Mandhar and Pallavi's marriage did not even survive for few hours.. They might not have legalized the wedding could be easily annulled and if Raghav and Pallavi legalized their wedding, which certainly they would & then would this marriage not be legal?

Great post Jean👏

I have always wantedPallvi to make her own choices. If she wants to help Mandaar then its her choice. Let her do it. I hope RR understands and supports her keeping his in securities aside.

But I also want her to draw some boundaries for herself. There are certain things which I won' t be able to accept like feeding him with her hands. She should make it clear to him and to every Deshmukh that she won't be crossing certain lines not for Mandaar, not for anyone.

💯 thank you for making this post Jean ❤️ you summed up everything.

I wish the forum could have been more positive and could celebrate Raghvi at this juncture of their lives! Such beautiful episodes we are getting. They don’t deserve the negativity.

I am ok with hunting past but barring Mandar all positive, negative, villains all was there in her life before too. She was ill treated by D family VD thrown her out of house....she definitely know VD and his charcter as well as Kaku, Mansi all..

As Raos bahu she has more responsibility and she must concentrate on her life as RRs wife, today she clarified it to Mandar

He realised it will not be easy

So situations which he will create will be interesting to watch....he is again and again saying Pallavi will be back...

About her past nothing was discussed before...neither she was ever Keenly spoke about Siddhesh and Pavani or her life in Kolhapur

So lets see.....but she going back to D house 👎👎👎 not good option..RR clarified their marriage is legal so she should stay with him......

She will reach that tipping point and call people out for forcing her to do things or having unreasonable expectations of her. She's not going to go out of her way for them if it means putting her most important relationship, her marriage, on the line. Nope. That was clear from the words she told Raghav at the hospital.
