Ticket price and inflation plays a big role...
That's why I don't understand the way Dhurandhar fans were celebrating it crossing Bahubali 2...I mean celebrate the success..celebrate the excellence or whatever...but BB2 was pre-covid...2017
Ticket price, multiplex scenarios, inflation...hell and heaven difference...No point of comparison...

I paid $25 to watch Baahubali while I watched Dhurandhar on the regular monthly pass program which I pay like $23 monthly with which I can watch unlimited number of movies......For RRR I paid $35 dollars...

Well not discarding your experience...neither am I discarding Dhurandhar ..it was a huge success...Only a fool would question it's success...Trust me I acknowledge it's massive success...
But the place in India where I live in... watching movie has become a pretty expensive affair.... specially post COVID.. people with modest salary need to plan beforehand if they are willing to spend that amount of money or not....

I absolutely get it...I just updated my post above with the amount I spend every month...Its a measly $23 dollars every month with which I can watch unlimited number of movies....Which is much much lesser than what you guys pay in India....This is daytime robery going on in India in the name of entertainment!

Records held when broken will be celebrated
Otherwise why celebrate Bahubali 2 when we had sholay with much higher FFs?

See my intention was not to belittle Dhurandhar...I was simply telling how inflated ticket price plays huge role in movie breaking records in terms of collection..
And you just assumed that I am being anti-Dhurandhar....Nooooo.....My point is something else entirely...
Apologies if I couldn't convey my point....
And Yes.. Sholay is the biggest and most iconic classic movie ever....No other movie have touched that level in any aspect yet in my opinion....
