Maybe what you say is true. BK never really supported his kids, be it Nishant or Rupi, unless he was shown how his lack of understanding has affected both of them. While CK has given Adi some good advice in the past, both Aparna & CK have been turning a blind eye towards Adi's turmoil, assuming things rather than actually making him sit and talk.
That generation gap is what is now showing very clearly, where the younger T's have been able to accept Adilie's relationship, while the older T's are having such a hard time.
