I dont think that will change much. Imlie is still from a village and is not as sophisticated as Malini. Like I said, it is easier to get attached to someone and consider them as a daughter, coz end of the day, she will get married and go somewhere else and be their responsibility. Here Imlie is their bahu, so her mannerisms & taur tarike will reflect on the T family, which is leading them to this disconnect.

But I know for a fact that she will come around, but it will take her some time.

I completely agree with the bold statement. Aparna's words were not only insensitive, they also will trigger the insecurities in Imlie because she mouthed all the words what Imlie was always afraid Aparna will.

While it is hard to argue with your first point, seeing how they never gave a token protest to all what Anu has done with them till date, I will say that they are not bad people, just very society conscious, which a lot of people are. Sbs dekha maine post 1 am morning before going to sleep. Saw the full 3 min clip now. So apu and ck end up saying worse things than they did on imlies imagination about 75 or more so epis ago. They have made them both complete hypocrites😡. Itna humiliate kiya imlie ko ki bs gusse mein aake table shaadi phirse kar dees😆. I was hoping against hope they would be kept them the lovable parents and human beings they have been from the beginning. So atleast the whole unvarnished truth coming out part became true yay to original predictions from a few of us early on, but the twist is the parents reaction which is far worse than was expected😭.
