So the truth is finally out to the Tripathi family, and how. The precap played in the exact way it was shown to us and had the desired impact - distorting the view before the actual truth came out.
We started the episode with the T family getting ready for the "Shanti Pooja" to get rid of all the ashanti spread by a certain someone. Rupi di gets a pretty pink dress for Imlie and the T ladies are excited to meet Imlie's pati, so much so that they decide to not event ask why she hid such a big truth from them. They feel she must have had some majboori and decide that they will surprise her by having her pati come and meet her directly at the pooja. Now here I would like to insert my thoughts. While I love that the T family are respecting Imlie's space and we know that Imlie is in love with her pati, but the T family has no idea about this person. What if he was someone from whom Imlie had run away & not said anything to anyone? My point is that their assumption that Imlie would be happy on seeing her husband, despite knowing that she hid her marriage from them, should have raised flags that the T family promptly ignored (coz they did have a discussion about it yesterday that god knows under what circumstances her marriage must have taken place). Aparna says that they will not ask her why she did not tell them & accept her marriage wholeheartedly, which leaves Aditya hoping that they react the same way when they find out that he is Imlie's pati.
The T ladies go to give the new dress to Imlie and chide her when she questions the need for a new dress. They try to cheer her up and aske her to get ready and come for the puja. This prompts Imlie's wish to absorb all this love while she can and hold on to it, as she is afraid that after the truth comes out, will they accept her the same way they did today. Both husband & wife are hoping to maintain the current status quo, but here Imlie is being much more practical about the outcome than Adi will ever be.
Moving to the C house, Malini & Dev have a heart to heart conversation about the reveal. Dev apologizes to Malini for misunderstanding her and decides to tell Imlie to leave Aditya, as Malini & Aditya loved each other and knew each other for 7 years. He assumes that Adi & Imlie would hardly know each other and just because the shaadi was done forcefully, he will be able to convince Imlie to leave Adi. Malini stops him saying that if he requests, she may actually leave him and go away and that is not something that either of the three of them want. Malini tries to explain to him that because Adi & Imlie love each other, forcing Malini & Aditya to be together will be the zabardasti, which makes no sense.
Dev as usual represented everyone who is going to question Adi's love for Imlie when the truth comes out. He reacted exactly how society will react - in disbelief that such a pair can love each other and want to spend their lives together, despite having brought together under forced circumstances. This disbelief is what Adilie have to fight to show that their relationship is not just by chance or by destiny, but built out of choice.
Dev notices Malini's cupboard missing the jewelry that the T family gave her and guess that Anu has gone there to make a tamasha of the truth she has found out, which is proved correct when we are shown Anu deciding to give back the tacky jewels to the Tripathis while also giving them another special gift and finally being able to take her revenge from Meethi by hurting Imlie.
At the T house, Imlie puts sindoor on her maang and goes to hide it, when Adi stops her and says that is not needed as everyone knows she is married. He askes her to have courage to tell everyone that he is her husband and he wants to do today's havan with her as husband & wife. They share a beautiful moment in front of the mirror almost like a newly wed married couple, which they almost are, as today is when the world will know the truth about their marriage. Adi tells her that no matter what happens, he has already won because he has her by his side and they go for the puja. While walking with Adi, Imlie feels strengthened by his saath, but still in disbelief that will he bhaag actually change from today, and asks her Sita maiyya to watch over her. The entire time they walk through through the house, they feel the importance of the upcoming moment when they can finally be together as husband and wife in front of the world.
They journey to go attend the puja feels like atleast a km away rather than the same house. Their power walk through the maze of the T house is so long, that they miss almost the entire tamasha created by Anu in their absence. This entire walk towards your doom feeling was just plain funny. Matlab now I understand why the T family is always missing, becahron ka middle class ghar itna bada hai, that you can have no bhanak of what is happening on one side of the house, while being in another. Yaar humare gharon mein to ek room mein humare hathon kuch girta hai to mummy ko kahin se bhi sunayi deta hai, but Adi & Imlie cannot hear the ruckus made by Anu till the very end. Kya baat hai, itne lost ho gaye the dono apne upcoming romantic puja ko lekar😆.
Anu as usual turns up crashing the kalash at the door ominously signifying the apshagun she brings there. She starts her tirade to the T family, berating them for ill treating her daughter & maligning Adi & Imlie's relationship. Aparna tells Anu that Imlie's husband is on his way and she will no longer have a reason to accuse Adi any more. This prompts Anu to put her second gift on display. In the meanwhile baaki ke loservedis also turn up to see the tamasha, rather than do anything to stop Anu.
Anu takes down her daughter marriage potrait & places Adi & Imlie's beautifully gift wrapped portrait on the wall and opens it for everyone to see them wrapped in a passionate embrace (jo kal humein nahi dikha BTW, this is some master photography in play). She asks where is Imlie's pati, when ultimately Adi & Imlie land up at the foyer after their loooong walk and Adi announces that Imlie ka pati yahaan hai, hum hai Imlie ke pati.
The precap shows Aparna slapping Adi (good for her and he deserves it. This is one slap I can take) and calling Imlie a nukrani, who she will never accept as her bahu. Aparna announces that he will not accept this shaadi in any way.
While the precap has some ominous moments, most of all Aparna calling Imlie a nukrani, whi she never has this entire time, even when she was mad at her. She insinuated it, but never called her that word on her face. So while I reserve my doubts to see if the precap plays exactly like this in tomorrow's episode, one thing is for sure - Bahut saara drama aur hopefully thoda sa romance milne wala aage ke kuch episodes mein. Dekhte hai how Adi & Imlie tackle with the consequences of their truth coming out.
