Mayuri must have accepted the show knowing that she is the second lead. The were going to follow IK and in IK, Mayuri character became kind of main but I am sure she knows that how passionate GK is about her leads, plus the show is named Imlie. There is no way the story will focus on Malini especially based on her character sketch till date and GK has never cared about her side characters.

Having said that, even as a second lead why would Mayuri not accept this role? Its a GK show and she gets to be part of a Hindi show. She is getting exposure to the Indian audience world wide. She is well known in Marathi industry and thus the next logical step would be targeting the Indian audience. I think this was the best step career wise for her because she has become a known face everywhere as Imlie is a hit show.

I agree even if it is a parallel lead she definitely gets good exposure and it was the most practical career move👍🏼

with you... after Imlie she might bag some small film roles or even a lead in ITV show.. she has the looks to make it big in ITV.. and she is way better than few current leads in other shows.. she did a good choice by taking this up..

also this may have helped her move past her loss... work helps so even if she had not thought about any gains on profession front she definitely must have got some respite on personal front

Par agar sabko yaad hoga toh woh Hyderabad episodes wahan rupi ne Apu aur Radha ko bola tha ki aap jaise Imlie k saath behave kar rahe ho....sach janane k baad aap regret karoge .
