deciphering yesterday's scene :

in the beginning ani did no know whether it was bon or anyone at all. so he just decided to teach her .

he got to know when her elbow touched him and he felt her touch but proceded to teach her this time he was closer and kept looking at her eye

there could be two reasons

1) he wanted to see how long bon could keep the facade

2)he thought he would probably never be this close to her ever again .

he chased her because he wanted to make sure if it was bon and put haldi on her because he didnt want to hurt her ever.

my conclusion is that he had a fair idea she was bon but he was not 100% sure about it .

if we notice the episodes ani is slowly melting

the first day he didnt even want to lstn to her

but on the 2nd day he read her letter

and on 3rd he was this close to her and also spoke to her.

i think current progession dekh ke aj ya kal mein he should see her face
