Okay so i tried my level best but i couldn't get myself to forget that Kitchen scene BTS that got stolen from us. I thought a bit about it and here's my take of still fitting it into the story line. This is set up after Saturday's episode, all the tickling and recording drama is already over.
DRABBLE 3 : A PROMISE
It was a decent morning in the RR mansion this time. Decent because Kirti was still asleep so no one had to listen to the typical Nibba-Nibbi morning wishes. Amma was already out for pooja quite early in the morning and Farhad was still unwell so no third party disturbance as the adorable couple slept peacefully. The sunlight wasn't harsh but bright enough through the curtains to illuminate the room a bit. Pallavi ad always been a light sleeper when it came to lights, even a little flick and her mind would wake her up so currently as she groaned at the contact of the sudden light that penetrated inside her room. She tried pulling up the duvet to her face only to find the task a lot difficult that it was supposed to be.
Damn was this duvet filled with dumbells. she cursed.
As the weight of those dumbells shifted on her due to the sudden pull of the duvet, her eyes widened open in the fear of an animal above her but fortunately it wasn't some wild animal or a cute puppy, rather than anything cute it was actually her husband who had recently found a new to grant him a peaceful sleep everynight. Partially lying on her.
Everynight since the past week, her husband would get back in the room late night after work, grab his PJ's and would fall partially ontop of her and partially on the bed, snuggling deeper into her waist and would doze off into some wonderland. It had become a task or rather a personal gymming session for her every morning to get off from his grip and leave the bed. So that's what she did again, dried slipping away his weight from her only to make him snuggle more as he moved a bit up from her waist. Her cheeks flushed when she saw him smile in his dreams as soon as she touched his arm, ruffling his hairs she did the last thing she does everyday. Called out to him in a sweet tone.
"Raghav. Utho subah ho gayi hai." she spoke in a soft voice moving her fingers in his hair.
"Sone do na Saree ka dukaan aur tum bhi so jao. " he turned his face towards to door away from her.
"Raghav tum so sakte ho lekin mujhe bahut kaam hai. Amma ke mandir se aane se pehle naashta bhi banana hai." she reminded him.
"Han aur uske liye main Reddy ko salary deta hai." came a groan from his side, "Lekin tum toh sunega nahin." he left his grip on her swiftly sliding onto the bed.
"Banata wahi hai main bas help karti hoon kyunki mujhe achcha lagta hai." she patted his back to which he dismissed her with his hands and she went to get freshen up laughing at his kiddish antics.
Pallavi examined the kitchen, it had been a week and a hald since they got settled back in this house but she was still not sued to all the modern appliances and wierd gadgets of his kitchen. Today she had planned to make a cake from him that got ruined last night because well as he had cutely said it earlier, he wanted her to make it the day she thinks that he deserves it and with all the recent happenings because of Ved. he had very well been occupied to keep his family safe so he definitely deserved some sugar rest.
"Ma'am kuch chahiye aapko." came Reddy's voice from the counter as he made dosa's for breakfast.
"Cake bana hai." Pallavi gave a sheepish smile.
"Aap oven use kar sakti hai. Waise bhi abhi uska koi kaam nahin hai." Reddy smiled helping her out with the ingredients.
Pallavi glanced at the high tech oven infront of her. Well she had never used one before but what could go wrong? Right?
Raghav buttoned his waistcoat as he looked arounf for his watch. Ever since Pallavi had walked into his life, she had basically taken over it and turned it into a systemized order rather than a mess. So now all his morning requirements were out and arranged before he came out from the washroom. He didn't have to worry about any file or call out for his servants because his wife was a perfectionist in her work. His Wife. There was that word that made his stomach churn in pure happiness. She was a part of his life. A more prominent one. But the recent stress had worn him out, everytime he tried to tell her the truth, something or the other would intervene and now his confidence had given up and his selfishness had taken over. He wasn't gonna let anybody ruin the things between them. She would never know the truth.
His thoughts were interrupted with a message notification on hs phone. A look at the screen and his mood went from a happy spongebob to an angry bird.
Kya hua abhi tak nahin bata paya na bhabhi ko. Tension not maine saara intezzam kardiya hai. Akhir main tera best friend jo hoon. Pray karunga ki woh iss sadme se jaldi bahar aa jaye.
- VED.
The message made his blood boil so he quickly grabbed his coat and dashed out to put a final end to this pathetic misery. He stopped Naidu at the staircase as his eyes searched for his wife.
"Pallavi ekkada undi? (where is Pallavi)" he asked.
"Ma'am toh kitchen main hai." replied the servant to which he gave a nod and made his way down trying to contact Farhad.
The sudden mist blurred his vision as he looked around. The hall was a blur and the smoke grew more.
What is this? , he thought and then Ved's message played on a loop in his mind.
Had that idiot done something? Was his Pallavi in danger?
Raghav ran towards the kitchen, the source of the smoke. He prayed to venkateshwara to keep his wife safe as he cursed ved simultaneously.
The scenario int he kitchen kitchen shocked him as he saw utensils lying around and the smoke getting denser. He quickly turned on the exhaust as he called out for his better-half.
"Pallavi! Pallavi! Kidhar hai tum? Pallavi!" he called out making his way to the counter.
"Kya hua Raghav idhar hi toh hoon." Pallavi stood up from behind the counter, something burning in her hand with a lot of smoke coming out. He released the breath he didn't knew he was holding as she grabbed her close to him, pulling her in a hug as soon as she kept the hot burning tray.
"Thank god tum theek hai." he sighed.
"Mujhe kya hoga Raghav." Pallavi replied in confusion but still happy that she got to inhale his scent.
"Mereko laga tumko woh-" Raghav pulled awy but stopped midway as he realised that he was gonna tell her about Ved.
"main kya?" she asked.
'Kuch nahin. waise yeh kya kar raha tha tum?" he looked around.
"Protein cake banane ki koshish." she gave a cute pout. She had tried her best but damn the oven.
"Mera liye?" he asked in shock.
"Nahin Naidu ke liye. veda Manus. ofcourse tumhaare liye. Ab tumne hi toh bola tha ki jab lage ki tum iss cake ke layak ho toh dobara banaun toh-' Pallavi blurted like she always does and stopped when she saw him all surprised.
Raghav finally noticed the look of her wife. Flour all over and in a cute aprin. She looked like an angel. Her hands covered with the batter and that look that she gives him everytime she blurts out something she wasn't supposed too.
"Toh tum ek cake ke liye poora ghar jala diya." he teased.
"Oh hello meri koi galti nahin hai. Woh toh maine kabhi oven use nahin kara hai isliye galat setting ho gayi. Upar se yeh koi normal oven toh hai na Raghav rao ka super high tech oven hai toh iski manuel bhi online nhin mil rahi thi." she turned her face annoyed that he was laughing at her.
"Saree ka dukaan tum na." he turned her to face him and the air made her hair fall on her face. he smiled at how it annoyed her so he brushed the strands lighting by his hands taking them behind her earlobe as softly as he could. the sensations made her inhale a sharp breath as she looked deeper into his eyes. Raghav rubbed his thumb on her cheek as he stepped a little closer taking in her fragrance. Jasmine.
He loves it when her aura grabs his senses, something that had started way long back since the day she met. The memories of that day was still frsh in his mind and so were the happenings of the unfortunate night 2 years back. The thought of blood on his hands made him pull it back only to be grabbed by hers as she stopped him from moving away.
"Raghav. Aaj nahin. Maine wada kara tha na ki tum mujhse kuch bhi share kar sakte ho." she spoke in a soft voice with sincerity in her eyes.
"Kuch bhi." he asked unsure that somebody could actually trust him.
"Kuch bhi." she replied with a smile and it opened his heart of the cage from his guilt.
"Toh main bhi promise karta hai ki main tumko sab batayega Pallavi. Bahut jaldi." he promised.
"Aur main uss waqt ka intezaar krungi." she squeezed onto her grip on his hand as he stepped closer.
"Main sab theek kardega." he whispered standing closer to her as he softly kissed her forehead, " Main tumse kabhi alag nahin hoga."
The honesty in his voice was evident but along with it was something more. A fear of something or so she thought.
"Kabhi nahin." she smiled as he looked down on her.
She knew whatever it was, it was something big but she also knew that the person here was raghav. Someone she was gonna trust no matter how dark things would get. She was gonna be his light, a light that would never fade away.
